Mario Kart World for Nintendo Switch 2
I was busy unlocking all characters and outfits over this past weekend. I'm also working on getting 3 stars on all Grand Prix and Knockout Tour cups in all difficulties with Free Roam shenanigans in between.

Re: (Ending March 24, 2025!) How to claim My Nintendo Gold Points
Since Gold Points are no longer being rewarded from new Switch eShop purachases from this point onward, this topic will be closed. As a reminder, you can still get Gold Points from any physical Nintendo Switch games released within 365 days from its release date but released on or before March 24th ...

Re: How to claim My Nintendo Gold Points
I just want to give a heads up regarding My Nintendo Gold Points. As of March 24th, 2025, Nintendo will be discontinuing My Nintendo Gold Points. If you have any physical Nintendo Switch games released within a year (365 days) from its release date, claim those Gold Points ASAP before it's too late ...

I (hopefully) have money set aside for one assuming that it's not crazy expensive. Hoping that I can land a pre-order before the scalpers snatch 'em all up.

It has been clinically proven that Super Mario Bros. (SMB1) speedrunners are the only other species on Earth besides dogs that are afraid of fireworks.

I have been training up for the currently ongoing The Void Within plot ever since after The Wraith Resurgence wrapped up. Here's my battle pet firefly_goblin and all her stats et al (as of 7/14/2024). Do you think we're ready to take on a void apocalypse?

My Quest Log luck is possibly broken. I got bestowed a Flaming Evil Coconut as a Weekly Quest prize last week right before they changed over to the new prize pool, and now they give me the opportunity to get a Malevolent Sentient Plushie Poogle (TCG), an item that is well-known for being absurdly ...

A fair amount of us here at Nintendo 3DS Central regularly enjoy gaming and anime, but mainly the former. New faces also don't pop up often here these days, so welcome aboard Kallcifer!

Update from the same guy who posted the video from the OP:
He also stated that he won't share the ROM because Nintendo will destroy him all. Yes, it does run on real GBA hardware as per the developer.

Re: Super Mario 64, but on GBA
Super Mario 64 feels like the next game people will make playable on anything and everything after Doom.
Has science gone too far? I'm going to assume that a Super FX chip-powered Super NES port of Super Mario 64 is already in the works.

Retiring from social media
Earlier today, I decided to close all of my social media accounts (my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Mastodon, BlueSky, etc.) due to personal problems and for the sake of my mental health. This is not a decision I take lightly. I will still be active on forums (including this one) and IRC channels ...

Re: Having 2,000+ Nintendo Switch Games will cause icons to disappear
I mean to figure that out, you could have a bunch of shovelware eShop titles on your console. This is why quality is better than quantity guys!
Exactly. This is part of the reason why the Switch eShop needs the 5-star rating system that the 3DS and Wii U eShops had just to help others avoid ...

As of May 12th, 2024, I have managed to collect 250 unique physical Nintendo Switch games! As much as I want to get to 300 physical Switch games, I'm more likely going to hold off for a Switch 2 or whatever the next Nintendo console is.

Re: Anyone loves Nintendo?
I'm with Tiger on whether I love Nintendo or not.
Games? Yes, but not as much as I used to years ago.
As a company? Not so much. I'm just disappointed in them because of all of their more recent actions. Displays of behaviour like those will make the next big video game industry crash happen sooner ...

You may have used a random letter/number sequence generator like this one or similar. Pretty sure these types of generators were there before the big AI boom.

Up with bubbles, down with (generative) AI.
To be fair, I'm not crazy for AI. While it may be improving, it will never be perfect. I just don't want it to steal people's jobs and livelihoods.

Re: [No longer relevant] Online play for Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon returns August 3rd, 2023
Closing this topic early since it will be no longer relevant due to Nintendo Network online services closing their doors in a few weeks, the fact that one can no longer make a new NNID anymore, and the fact that any Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Friend Codes/NNID threads in this forum were closed a month ...
