UPDATE 5/24/2023: As of May 23rd, 2023, Nintendo managed to sneak in a new Nintendo 3DS firmware (v11.17.0-50) update after the eShop closure, and it does more than just the usual stability improvements. See the second spoiler below for more info on this.
Pages on these new firmware updates on Nintendo's official website:
Homebrewed 3DS owners: Luma3DS will still boot on v11.17.0-50, though a majority of exploits (mainly softmod exploits) currently don't work on the latest 3DS firmware. -Courtesy of ihaveahax (original post)
Luma3DS should be on v10.2.1 or higher before updating your homebrew-enabled 3DS. For those who have yet to get their 3DS homebrew-enabled, do NOT update as installation methods are currently unclear. - Disclaimer on the 3DS Hacks Guide
Homebrewed Wii U owners: Disable autobooting if you're running Tiramisu before updating your Wii U. -Courtesy of Luna4256 (original post)

Reason:3DS firmware got updated recently, removed information that is no longer relevant since the eShop closure.

GameTZ is the new home of my game collection listing. I don't do game trades yet nor know how to do so properly.

Another update got released for for the 3DS just late yesterday. It's just a minor update to the previous one that fixes a small typo in the Nintendo Customer Support phone number for the COPPA legal info string. Post on GBATemp with a screenshot of what's changed.

Bumping this since Nintendo released a new update for the 3DS two months after the eShop shut down. Original post updated to reflect on the recent firmware update.
What does this update do asides the usual stability improvements? It nukes a majority of 3DS jailbreaking exploits, especially softmod exploits, which is bad for those who have yet to hack their 3DSes (especially older 3DS and 3DS XL models) yet. NTRBoot (requires compatible DS/3DS flashcart) and hardmod exploits (requires soldering) are unaffected.
Those who have Luma3DS CFW running on their 3DSes prior to the latest update can update like normal as long as Luma3DS is kept up to date.

As if that would stop people plus I'm sure most wouldn't even bother to update their system.
