This is where old or outdated announcements go! They used to have a purpose, but are then locked and moved here to clean up the regular Announcements forum!
This was a VERY stressful ordeal that I still haven't finished with yet! Anyways, since the board software has been updated to a completely new version, you may notice a few little hiccups here and there, like the width of the forum being incorrect on prosilver, the language pack using the original text (I had to download a brand new version of the the language pack, and am changing it string by string so it's back in line with what it was back on 3.2.11, and if this smiley doesn't do justice, then... ), a few extensions have become depreciated, and no longer work (don't worry the best ones still work!) and may need to be updated to work with 3.3, and so on... It's a transition moving forward, so bear with me a little while as I fix up the forum over the next few days! The forum is still very much functional, but the text needs to be fixed, and I really just begun!
Updating to 3.3 has open us up to LOADS and LOADS of new extensions, and new styles (and the old ones still work!), and more security!

Here is the road map for the upgrade:
#1: Change the language pack so it is as it was in 3.2DONE!
#2: Change forum images (such as the no avatar placeholder) so they are as they were in 3.2DONE!
#3: Update depreciated extensions so they will work with 3.3, the majority of the extensions are already compatible with 3.3, so that's good!DONE!
#4: Delete any extensions that cannot be updated to work with 3.3, as enabling them can break the forumDONE!
#5: Find some new board styles that I couldn't previously use due to them being made for 3.3 onlyDONE!

Just noticed that all of my and everyone else's (insert number of years here)-year member stars are gone since the forum update.
Also, a PSA to anyone who still uses Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and older or non-current consoles that have outdated web browsers that haven't been actively updated since late 2016:
Visiting this site on my Wii U gave me an unexpected error message that forced the Wii U Internet Browser to close, this is most likely caused the new security updates caused by the forum upgrade. Do NOT visit this site on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS (or any other console that no longer has an actively updated web browser) anymore if you don't want your console's web browser to be semi-unusable due to the unexpected error.
R.I.P. to visiting this site on a 3DS and Wii U among other older or non-current internet enabled consoles.

Scratch what I said about not being able to visit this site on my 3DS anymore. I was still able to visit this site on my New Nintendo 3DS XL today. I take it that the 3DS Internet Browser is slightly more updated than the Wii U Internet Browser, but not by much.
The Wii U error code I got that gave me the unexpected error thing that forced the Wii U Internet Browser to close was 112-1802. Resetting the save data on the Wii U Internet Browser didn't do any good unfortunately. This error seems to appear on any sites that have more recently updated R3/Let's Encrypt certificates from around February 14th, 2024 or later based on my experience.
I apologize for any confusion earlier.
