A lot of games on the GBA are ports of SNES games, with a plethora of improvements!

The GBA is a very powerful system. It has an ARM processor leading things to happen in quick succession. The SNES used chips in their cartridge to make effects like Mode 7. IMO the GBA has a lot of neat titles that had pseudo-3D like racers and platformers. The SNES had games that were ported to the GBA, but even then there was no official Pokemon on the SNES.

Unless if one has a Super Game Boy accessory and can play the Gen I and Gen II (save for Crystal) Pokémon games on the SNES that way.

Ontopic, I'm mainly going with the SNES here though I also enjoy the Game Boy Advance too. The SNES with the Super Game Boy accessory is my preferred way to play older Game Boy games since some of them get exclusive enhancements not offered on the GBA and variants thereof. As for libraries, SNES since there's less casual-marketed stuff on there than the GBA though I enjoy both libraries equally.

GameTZ is the new home of my game collection listing. I don't do game trades yet nor know how to do so properly.

To be fair I prefer like the amount of isometric titles like Spyro, Rayman, and others that were featured on the GBA. Sure you can play the same games from GBA on the Gamecube including backward compatibility, but I wish there were enhancements other than borders for older titles like screen rendering settings.

Also funny the Playstation can play Pokemon with a one-off third party peripheral. The best retro console for it.
