What's the rating system about?

On the home page? What's it mean when say, Nintendo 3DS Discussion is rated 1.57% and Forum Games is rated 71.18%? I originally thought members rated stuff, but it seems to be some sort of algorithm thing based on how active each section is.

I think it is based on the thanks given to posts! The ratings are part of the 'Thanks for posts' extension! I'm not sure how rating are calculated though...

From the rating configuration menu in the extension settings: "Subject (post, topic or forum) which has the largest total number of thanks is given 100% rating!"
And from the phpBB extension page: "•adds a feature to display posts/topics/forums rating based on the count of post thanks for them (thankslist) (configurable)"

The more likes/thankses (Whatever you may want to call it!) a forum, topic, or post has, the higher the rating it will be!

The topic "Count to 1,000,000!" has the most posts, and likes (At least 2 likes for each post), so it has a 100% thank rating!
