Which Pokémon game did you start your journey off with and for what system?

For me, Pokémon Red on the Game Boy Colour was my first foray into the Pokémon franchise (anime aside that is).

Coincidentally, Pokémon Blue was my older brother's first (and only) Pokémon game. He gave up on/grew out of it a few months after Ruby and Sapphire came out and bestowed me his childhood copy.
