There were so many different Action Replay codes made for this game when DS Ultimate was around!

Plus I wanted to fill a gap in the forum list!

I... didn't care for all the extra added characters. Felt it took away from the magic of the game. I always hoped for a SM64 2 game that had the same concept but in Bowser's castle collecting black stars or something.

For those who haven't yet, AntDude covered a video a few months back regarding ROM Hacks for Super Mario 64 DS. Hacks for the DS remake aren't too uncommon in contrast to the Nintendo 64 original, but it's still brimming with a lot of potential. Here's the vid:


If you ask me about Super Mario 64 DS, I never minded it. Playing around with a D-Pad felt awkward for a 3D platformer, it's clear that this game was made for the original Nintendo DS model with the Touch Strap in mind given that it was a launch title for the console. I might pop it into one of my 3DSes at some point due to the circle pad being a better option for a game like this if you don't have a DS Touch Strap.

I didn't like this game for its smaller screen and more characters. At the most they should have just added luigi.

I like this game but not as much as the original! i like the looks of Mario better in the original, but i like the added bonus levels in this game.
