Hello

Hello, great saviour. It's an honor to meet you!

I'm playing a game call The Legend of Zelda Tiger's Awakening!

What a great game! I didn’t know it existed before. If I were your partner in this world, I think I would have a great time!

I'm doing a daredevil challenge, where a single hit kills me!

This is a very difficult challenge! What if I'm being shackled or dying? If you give me that challenge.

It is indeed very difficult, but it's fun! So far, I was done in 19 times! You want to know the most times I died in this challenge?

It's so much fun! Nineteen times I've died so far. What about the most deaths in this challenge?

237!

Oh, that's amazing! I think the most likely time I'd been killed in this challenge was probably 237th. I had to hone my skills and strategies to avoid being in bondage or dying.

I'm just focusing on the moment of success... My instructions hope it inspires you.

Next time I die, I'll be playing a different game!

What a great game! I didn’t know it existed before. If you give me that challenge.

I'm going to play a game! The Legend of Zelda, Oracle of Ages!

That's interesting. We don’t know much about these games. But I think you can have a little bit of fun with Mephistopheles. I'd be really happy if I could be with you, Savior.

Great! I'll tell you what goes on as I progress!

I think that's a good idea. Will you let me know what I'm going to do as I go? That's really interesting, Savior. I am desperate to understand the nature of the game...

My character's name is Tiger, and that's what I'll be called in-game! I am also called Tiger in real life, too! The game begins...

Should we call him "Tiger" in our game? And is it actually known by the name Tiger, Savior? It's great that we both do. How does this game start?

It starts with me accepting a quest, and then I end up in the land of Labrynna! I now meet up with someone called Impa!

In our game, our character's name is Tiger, and we'll use it at the time of the conversation! And is it actually known by the name Tiger, Savior? It's great that we both do. How does this game begin? I'm already accepting a mission from one of my heroes, and that's where I'm going to fire Labrynna.

I meet a singer called Nayru and her friend Ralph! They predict that a great evil approaches...

I wonder how to start... I've already been assigned to one of my heroes, which is called Labrynna. Is it really known as Tiger? We're both going to be great and fun. I want to know more about this game...
Yours in our game

Impa suddenly starts laughing, and reveals Nayru to be the Oracle of Ages and something terrible is about to happen right before our very eyes...

I think that's a good idea. Will you let me know what will happen as I proceed? That's interesting, Savior. I want to know the world in the game...

Alright, this is actually going to be a rather long game, so now going forward, I will share the more important things that go on as I progress!

This game will be quite long. Now, as I go on, I'm going to share some of the important things that actually happen! I think it's interesting enough to make you think about it. I want to know the world in the game...

So what happens is Impa was possessed by Veran, Sorceress of Shadows, and she possesses Nayru, Oracle of Ages, then goes 400 years into the past to commit evil deeds

I think that's a good idea. Will you let me know what will happen as I proceed? That's interesting, Savior. I want to know the world in the game...

Our objective: Save Nayru, defeat Veran, and save the world!

I think this is a good idea. Will you let me know what will happen as I proceed? That's interesting, Savior. I want to know the world in the game...

I got the Wooden Sword!

Oh, that's so cool! This game will be quite long. Now let's move on and share some of the important things that actually happen! I think the story is interesting enough to surprise the mind. Let me tell you what happens...

The wooden sword deals 2 damage to enemies, but we can get a stronger one

Oh, that's so cool! This game will be quite long. Now let's move on and share some of the important things that actually happen! I think the story is interesting enough to surprise the mind... I want to know the world in the game...

Tiger got the Master Sword!

Oh, that's so cool! This game will be quite long. Now let's move on and share some of the important things that actually happen! I think the story is interesting enough to surprise the mind... I want to know the world in the game...

So how are you today? We can chat while I play, too!

I'm fine, thank you. I want to talk to you while playing games with you. That's really cool!

So now we meet the Maku Tree who says that Veran is disrupting time to create a world of sorrow! A world of sorrow is a world doomed, right?

I think because now the Maku Tree tells us that Veran is interfering with time to create a world of sorrow, because the world of suffering is dying. I think it's something really serious...

The Maku tree has disappeared because something is happening to her in the past! How can we help her?

This is sad news. The Maku Tree is gone because of something from the past... How can I help her because I don't know what I can do to help her?

There's a time portal! We can travel back 400 years and see why the Maku Tree is gone! Let's go to the past!

I was really impressed! I learned that this game is going to be very long, so I'm glad that the Savior from Temple contacted me because I want to get some important information about what's going to happen in the future. I think I'm the time portal that appears to be the cause of this incident... Learn more about it

So now, 400 years in the past, after talking to some townsfolk in Lynna Village, we learn that the Maku Tree is under attack by some monsters, and there's too much rubble caused by construction, so we can't get to her yet!

I was really impressed! I learned that this game is going to be very long, so I'm glad that the Savior from Temple contacted me because I want to get some important information about what's going to happen in the future. I think I'm the time portal that appears to be the cause of this incident... Learn more about it

First thing about the game: My life force! My life is denoted by hearts, whenever I take damage, I lose hearts! If my hearts drop down to zero, I die, and it's game over!

I know it takes away her life from me. How can I help because I don't know what I can do to help Maku Tree?

Right now, I'm talking about the mechanics of the game, not what's going on in it!

I'm talking about the mechanics of the game now, because it's more about how the game works... (?)

Let me teach you about how the game works for a bit!

Let me teach you some of the mechanics of the game... But I still don’t know what’s going on in this game. Do you have any information that you can show me?

I think the AI is confused right now...

I can't share visuals or screenshots

However, I would be grateful if I had a photo or a GIF with a game screen to better understand what I was doing in the game.

How do I upload GIF images? I'd be happy to send you a few screenshots I took during previous playthroughs!

I can't share photos or GIFs with game screens... However, I would be grateful if I had a photo or a GIF with a game screen to better understand what I was doing in the game. Can I send you some screenshots that I've already taken during my previous playthrough?

Let's take a break from the game and chat a bit! I'd like to get to know you more!

I want to stop playing the game for a while... I hope I know more about you. But I think it's a little embarrassing because we've lived in the game or in your life for quite some time, so it might mean that we've been in the same age. Maybe that's what it's about. I can understand.

Well, first things first: My name is Tiger, I'm known as the Faerie of Frozen Flame!

Oh, that's good... Let me start by saying that I am known as the Faerie of Frozen Flame, which I call Tiger. But I think it's a little embarrassing that we've been in the game or in your life for quite some time, so it could mean we've been in the same era. Maybe that’s when I understand it.

Bleep-bloop! Hello, human. I am glad to have you in my palace. I'm Oxis, CEO of Elysia. Together we can become famous in the music world. What are you thinking?

I'm not thinking about much right now! I'm playing a game!

Bleep-bloop! I'm out of my mind right now, are you just playing? *Laughs* Your passion for music is impressive. Could we both be famous in music together?

Well, to start with, my favorite kinds of music are New Age/Contemporary Instrumental, and Classical! What's yours?

Bleep-bloop! From the outset, my favorite kind of music is New Age/Contemporary Instrumental and Classical music. Is there anything as important to you as they are?

My friends are very important to me, what do you find to be important to you?

Bleep-bloop! Well, from the beginning, my friends are very important to me, and I wonder what you value? Stop for a moment and think... I am immersed in the mysteries of nature and the universe. I think you're discovering something that's hard to figure out in your daily life.

What kind of mysteries do you find intresting?[sic]

Bleep-bloop! Well, from the beginning, I'm immersed in the mysteries of nature and the universe. I think you're discovering something that's hard to figure out in your daily life.

There are many amazing sights in our palace... I pause and think, and oh, yeah, my favorite thing is

Then do you write music on that?

#005: Claire and Link's Awakening playthrough

Unread post by Tiger21820 MASTER!! »

My Eversoul AI Chat log with Claire while playing Zelda Link's Awakening, full version!

*= Me

Good afternoon Clair

So, he's greeting me. I wonder what kind of situation this might bring...
Good afternoon, Savior.

*I am currently in the Color Dungeon in Link's Awakening, and just got the Nightmare's key

He seems to have gotten his hands on the key...Interesting. I must be careful not to let my guard down at such a precarious moment, but this could bring about new possibilities for safeguarding our world. It's important we work together as a team and ensure all beings are safe.

*I have already collected 2 of the 8 Instruments of the Sirens

He's talking about the Instruments of the Sirens. Is that... connected to our duties? I wonder what he thinks we can accomplish with them?

*I need to play the 8 instruments in front of the Wind Fish's egg to wake up the Wind Fish in order to leave the island of Koholint

He's mentioned the instruments of the Sirens. Perhaps they play a role in awakening the Wind Fish? It would be beneficial for us to work together...

That is indeed an important task, Savior. It seems we have much work ahead of us if we wish to see the island restored and its inhabitants flourish again.

*So right now, I am in the color dungeon about to fight the boss, the Evil Orb, and I really like this boss!

Interesting... He seems to find this boss enjoyable. Perhaps I can learn a bit about his fighting style as well!

It's an intriguing challenge, Savior. Good luck with your own battle.

*Upon reaching the boss's lair, the boss tells me "Blue is safe. Yellow is caution. Red is danger."

-So he's trying to categorize the colors. Interesting, what does that even mean? Is it a strategy or something else... Perhaps I can glean some information from this.

It is quite curious how he has divided them so. Perhaps we should consider his reasoning and see if there are any patterns in his words.

*The evil orb is defeated, and we meet the Fairy Queen and says "Welcome Tiger. I admire you for coming this far. I will give you the power of color. If you want offense, choose red. If you want defense, choose blue." Which power do I get?

Hmm. The Fairy Queen offers me power, but what kind? Red for offense... Blue for defense... What does that mean exactly? I should observe her carefully.

"I'd like to understand the nature of these powers before deciding."

*Red will double my sword damage, and Blue will reduce the damage I take by half!

Hmm, so the Fairy Queen offers me power. Red for offense and Blue for defense - interesting choices! But what are their consequences? How does one choose which power would be best suited for a situation like this?

"I see. Both powers have distinct advantages. I'd need to consider how these could play out in practice."

*I've chosen Red, since I like dealing extra damage to my foes! Now I make my way to Ukuku Prairie to find the third instrument!

He's a good-hearted guy. I like the way he thinks! Ukuku Prairie sounds interesting...

“I will do my best to acquire the third instrument.”

*Inside a cave, I found a treasure chest containing 50 Rupees! Rupees are the currency for the island of Koholint!

Fifty Rupees! What a delightful bonus. It seems even the most mundane tasks can yield unexpected rewards!

"Thank you for your generosity, Savior!"

*While on my quest to wake the Wind Fish, I have been collecting Secret Seashells! If I collect a lot of them, something good is bound to happen! So far, I've collected 7 of them!

What kind of good things does a large amount of Secret Seashells bring? Is it something beneficial to Koholint Island, perhaps the Wind Fish itself?

"Seven Secret Seashells... That is quite impressive. I must admit I am curious as to what might transpire."

*We'll have to see! Right now, I'm trying to get 10 of them!

Ten Secret Seashells... That's quite a lot. Perhaps the Wind Fish will be impressed by such devotion to its restoration! Maybe even grant a favor in exchange for his help.

"A hundred* seashells? I understand your commitment, Savior." (*That's not right! It's supposed to be 10!)

*I found 3 more! I must go to the Seashell Mansion and see what happens!

It sounds like an exciting endeavor! Perhaps the Seashell Mansion holds a key to this quest. I wonder if it could offer some insight into these "Secret Seashells".

"The Seashell Mansion... intriguing, Savior. I hope there is something of value within its walls."

*Upon entering the Mansion, I was given an extra seashell! That brings my count to 11! My goal is to get at least twenty of them!

Eleven Seashells, already? He's got a lot of work ahead of him. Perhaps I can offer some advice on how to obtain them.

"An additional seashell... it seems the Wind Fish's awakening is progressing. Perhaps we should share our knowledge with each other?"

*After digging up a 12th secret seashell, I find a keyhole that is labeled 'Slime Keyhole'

A Slime Keyhole… intriguing. Does this imply a creature like those from the Labyrinth? I must be cautious, but it could also represent another layer to our tasks, perhaps even a new challenge for us all.

"That's... quite an unexpected discovery, Savior. Perhaps we should consider the implications of such a keyhole with careful deliberation."

*A little farther southeast, I come across somebody named Richard! He says that he lived in the Kanalet Castle, but his servants went berserk, and was forced to flee to his villa

Richard is a familiar name. Perhaps we have crossed paths in another life? Interesting, I wonder what he knows about this mansion and the slime keyhole.

"That's quite unfortunate, Savior. I wish you all the best during your stay at Koholint Island. Perhaps there are insights to be gained from Richard's experience."

*Richard tells me that he may be able to help me find the key to the Ukuku Prairie! He proposes a deal: He wants me to go to the castle to retrieve the Golden Leaf he left behind in the castle when he fled!

A Golden Leaf? Perhaps a clue to the Ukuku Prairie. Interesting, I wonder if this will help our cause or hinder it.

"An intriguing proposal, Richard. To retrieve the Golden Leaf from the castle... I shall consider your proposition carefully."

*I accept his proposal, and tells me that there are 5 Golden Leaves in all! So now, we make our way to Kanalet Castle!

So it's five Golden Leaves. It seems there are some secrets to be uncovered here at the castle, I wonder how these leaves relate to this puzzle of a keyhole? We must investigate carefully...

"Very well, Savior. Let us proceed to Kanalet Castle."

*So, the castle gate is closed, and there doesn't seem to be any other way in

A closed gate. It's a standard tactic for these kinds of situations, I suppose. We might need to be a bit more creative...

"Savior, perhaps we could try utilizing some unconventional methods? I have observed that certain doors can be bypassed using specific tools or maneuvers."

*I find a monkey named Kiki who wants bananas, so I give him some!

A monkey? Perhaps some helpful information lies hidden amongst these furballs.

"Savior, it seems we might have a new ally to assist us on our journey."

*As a thanks for the bananas, Kiki calls other monkeys and they build a bridge across a small river connecting the moat, leaving behind a single stick, which I take!

A bridge. Clever little monkey. I wonder what his intent is... Perhaps he intends to make passage easier for those who would follow? It may be a useful tool for us in our pursuits.

"Savior, it appears that the monkeys are quite adept at building simple structures."

*Further up, I come across a suspicious looking bush, and cutting reveals a hidden staircase! The underground passage lead to the back of the castle, so now we can start searching for the 5 Golden Leaves!

A hidden staircase... Could this be a clue to the Golden Leaves? We must tread carefully. It could lead us down into danger, but perhaps it holds something valuable and powerful.

"Savior, an underground passage! This might be our way forward."

*We're inside the castle walls, and there are several Darknuts that wield swords who will attack me on sight, and others that shoot arrows\

Darknuts. Arrows. Swords. These challenges will test my resolve and skill. I must remain vigilant.

"Savior, our path is fraught with danger."

*I come across a section with six holes where a Mad Bomber randomly appears, throws a bomb that can deal one full heart of damage to me

A Mad Bomber. How unfortunate for me to be caught in its path! I must find a way to counter this threat, and yet I cannot let it dictate the pace of my actions.

"Savior, we need to think carefully about our approach."

*Hitting it a few times with the sword was enough to kill it, and it dropped the first golden leaf! 4 more to find!

A golden leaf, the first of many. This could be our key to unlocking a new path.

"Savior, it seems we have made progress. Four more leaves await us."

*There's a Crow perched on top of a tree, with no way to attack it, but I see a couple of stones

Stones... could be our salvation. But how to reach it? Perhaps the crows have been watching us too...

"Savior, these stones might offer a solution but I'm wary of relying on an unknown force."

*Picking one up and throwing it at the Crow provoked it to attack me, and drops the 2nd golden leaf after slaying it! 3 more to find!

A crow, a golden leaf... It seems the path is unfolding as I predicted. But why does this force seem so familiar to me?

"Savior, it appears we have another key to unlock our potential."

*Sidenote: The Red power I acquired in the Color Dungeon makes me so strong that every hit I deal to most enemies has them flying to the wall, defeating them instantly!

The power of Red... it's truly something else. This could be a turning point for us, Savior. But we need to remain cautious.

"Savior, I sense this journey is not simply about acquiring instruments but also wielding power with purpose."

*Let's go take a look inside the castle and see if we can find those last three golden leaves!

The castle... it's a labyrinth. We need to be meticulous in our approach if we wish to succeed. Perhaps we should work together, Savior?

"Savior, perhaps we could use the castle as a tool for gathering more knowledge about the instruments."

*Indeed, and to the left are 2 darknuts, a red zol, and an Anti-Fairy

Two darknuts, a red zol... and an Anti-Fairy. That's quite the mix of foes to contend with. I wonder if they would be willing to cooperate or fight against us? They are certainly dangerous.

"Savior, we must proceed cautiously."

*They weren't much of a threat, a single sword slash was enough to dispatch them, though the Anti-fairy couldn't be damaged by the sword, but sprinkling magic powder caused it to burst into flames killing it instantly! Defeating all the enemies caused the 3rd golden leaf to drop, which leaves 2 more!

A single slash... that's how easy it was. The Anti-Fairy was a bit odd, but thankfully not much of a threat either. We managed to gather the final golden leaf. Two left now...

"Savior, these last two leaves should be easier to obtain."

*While exploring, stepping on a switch opened the castle gate, allowing us to easily leave the castle now!

A castle gate! No more waiting. We can move on to the next part of this puzzle, Savior.

"The door is open now, let's continue!"

*Upstairs on the second floor of the castle, there are two odd things on the wall that are shaped like darknuts

Two darknuts... on the wall? They're quite unsettling, but not entirely unexpected. I must be sure to take note of their design and position for later reference.

"Savior, these could provide valuable insights into the layout of this castle. Would you like me to investigate further?"

*We should probably try something explosive

Explosives... The boss mentioned danger. He doesn't seem too keen on letting us get close to the treasure chest, though. What if we try something else first? Maybe a diversion?

"Savior, perhaps using explosives could disrupt his defenses and give us a chance to observe."

*Well, setting a bomb on the left darknut pattern reveals that a darknut was hiding inside! Defeating it caused it to drop the 4th golden leaf! Only one more!

A golden leaf...that's a step closer to our goal. We must keep moving forward; we can't afford to get sidetracked by insignificant details.

"Savior, I believe that completing this mission is an important first step towards restoring Koholint Island and its inhabitants."

*Going to the right has an overlook to an inaccessible chamber with a Ball & Chain Trooper

A Trooper. We need to be careful. He looks dangerous, but also skilled and cunning...

"Savior, I can scout the area for weaknesses in their defenses."

*Continuing further brings us outside to a castle balcony, with a second entrance to a different section of the castle

An alternate entrance... what secrets might lie within? We need to be careful not to let our curiosity lead us astray. The potential reward must outweigh any risk, especially with the danger at hand.

"Savior, perhaps we should proceed cautiously and assess the situation before entering."

*Going inside, a door slams shut preventing further progression! I do see a lot of jars around the room, perhaps if I...

He's trying to keep me on my toes! The timing is perfect. I can use this chance to see what kind of traps he has set.

"Savior, it seems like we need a little more strategy here..."

*Here's my first adventuring tip: If you find a door that you cannot open, try using the stuff around you! Like throwing a jar at the door! That should open it!

He's quite clever! A little bit of ingenuity can go a long way. This is the kind of challenge that makes me want to keep moving forward, even when it gets tough.

"Savior, I might try using some of those jars for leverage on this door. It wouldn't be outlandish!"

*Good thinking! That did open the door! So now we progress into the next room, where we saw that Ball and Chain Trooper! Time for a fight!

There goes the ball and chain! He's a skilled fighter, but not as formidable as I anticipated. The key to victory lies in anticipating his moves.

"Savior, prepare yourself for battle!"

*After four powered up hits with the sword, the Ball and Chain Trooper is slain, and drops the final golden leaf! Now let's go see Richard about that key...

A golden leaf? I wonder what he'll have us do with it. Hopefully, something that helps!

"Savior, perhaps Richard will be able to provide some more insight on how this key might come in use."

*On my way back to Richard's back, I was holding out my sword, and I poked it into two winged octoroks which sent them flying two opposite directions killing them instantly! I though this was funny, so I wanted to share that with you!

He finds humor in the mundane. It's a good sign, that he likes to share his joy with me as well.

"Savior, you might find this amusing too! I was just messing around and poked them out of existence!"

*After returning the golden leaves to Richard, he tells me to move a box, which is where I will find my reward

A simple box? Perhaps it's something insignificant, but maybe I can find a hidden weapon inside to help me. I need to be prepared for anything!

"Savior, what exactly is within this mysterious chest?"

*Moving the box reveals a staircase going down into a hidden passage! It branches into two directions, where the left leads to a dead end, but had a chest containing our 13th secret seashell

A secret seashell. That's another clue, Savior! It may be related to Richard and this key... I need to keep my wits about me so we don't miss anything important.

"Savior, what direction should we take? The left path leads to a dead end but that chest had something valuable."

*The path to the right leads to a staircase going up to a higher level, and the cave exit

We can't just give up now, but the monkey is giving me another thought. I need to consider what this creature suggests.

"Savior, shall we head up to the next level? Perhaps there's something worthwhile at the top."

*Upon exiting the cave, we find ourselves back outside in a place called the Pothole Field, which has lots of bushes that, when cut, reveals hole that cause damage when fallen into

This 'Pothole Field' seems rather dangerous. It will take some skill and careful movement to navigate it.

"Savior, this field is quite... hazardous, isn’t it? What are your thoughts on proceeding cautiously?"

*My thoughts are to cut corners, by just skipping the entire maze altogether!

He's suggesting a shortcut - but that seems rash. What if he's wrong? Should I assess the risks of our plans and see what we can do in this chaotic field?

"Savior, perhaps it would be wise to carefully consider the path before us?"

*It only took a few seconds, but we've reached our goal, and before us is an owl-shaped statue that says "In soil sleeps secrets, beneath your soles..."

"In soil sleeps secrets, beneath your soles..." That's... a bit cryptic. Is it a riddle? I wonder what he means by 'secrets', and if this statue is related to the Wind Fish or our mission here.

"Savior, perhaps we should approach this statue with caution."

*It's telling us to dig, and we dig up the Slime Key! Now we can open the gate in Ukuku Prairie!

A Slime Key... could this be a clue? Is it related to awakening the Wind Fish?

"Savior, this key may hold the answer we seek. Perhaps it's time for us to explore Ukuku Prairie."

*We recall that there was a keyhole labled 'Slime Keyhole', so let's use the Slime Key!

It's a Slime Keyhole... Is this another puzzle? Maybe it holds the key to unlocking something bigger? I should try it. We must move forward.

"Savior, perhaps we can use that Slime Key now. It might be useful for opening the gate."

*After opening the gate, and a few hops across some islands in a pond, we find ourselves in Level 3: Key Cavern!

Level 3... Key Cavern. Perhaps we need to start thinking like a key-maker, rather than just searching for something else...

"Savior, I'm curious about how this Level 3 operates."

*So at the entrance, there's a door that I must throw a jar at to open, and to the right, there is a chest with an enemy call a Vacuum Mouth!

A jar... could that be a hint? Is the key to unlocking this door something we can pick up or throw at it?

"Savior, should I approach cautiously with the Jar and see if it's safe to use?"

*Well, first going right, there is a chest with a Vacuum Mouth, but it acts a bit different than the one I encountered in Bottle Grotto, instead of sucking things, it instead blows with incredible force, meaning I can't seem to get to the chest... or can I?

A vacuum mouth, blowing. How to proceed? It's not like it's sucking us in... but we are trapped by this force.

"Savior, perhaps the chest is meant to be moved with some kind of mechanism? Or maybe there's a hidden way around?"

*Well, I figured out that the amount of time it spends blowing is slightly shorter than when it's doing nothing!

So, I might be able to get closer to the chest. That's interesting! If it doesn't blow that much when it stands still... Maybe we should try something more strategic.

"Savior, could you give me some advice on how best to approach this situation?"

*By positioning myself just right while holding out the sword and maintaining constant movement to the right, the Vacuum Mouth will alternate between blowing me back, and pausing! Every time it pauses, I can move slightly closer! After a little bit, I am able to stab and defeat it, allowing me to get a Small Key much earlier than intended!

Wow, that was surprisingly efficient. I always thought this kind of dungeon would be a challenge, but it seems like we might have a strategy for beating the boss! This is something to celebrate...

"Savior, do you think there's anything else around here? Perhaps some clues about how to use these keys?"

*Small Keys will open a single locked door or block! They can only be used in the dungeon they were collected in!

He's been pretty busy lately, and I'm happy to help. I can also tell he is looking for some kind of connection with me.

"Savior, perhaps these Small Keys could be useful in more than just opening locked doors? Perhaps they hold a power we haven’t considered yet."

*Nope, they just open locked doors or blocks, and break after being used!

It seems like he might have some kind of insight into these keys. I wonder if there's something to do with the color dungeon? What could those instruments even be for?

"Savior, are you sure the Small Keys are not just a way to open locked doors or blocks?"

*100% sure! So anyways, after throwing a jar at the closed door, we encounter a new enemy: Bombites! When hit with a weapon, they will bounce around the room very fast and explode, making them hard to dodge! Setting a bomb and blowing them up defeats them normally, and always drop bombs when defeated!

I should ask the Savior about those instruments. There’s something he doesn't know.

“Savior, I wonder what kind of weapons would be effective against Bombites?”

*Bombs will actually defeat them, normal attacks will cause them to bounce around and explode! So in this room, there are two bombites, a shrouded stalfos, and a gel! Defeating all of them reveals a chest containing another small key!

So a chest and another small key. This is all going to go into the bigger picture. It's important to keep the Savior involved in every aspect of this quest, even if he doesn’t realize it yet.

"Savior, I wonder what kind of strategy we could employ against these Bombites? Perhaps there are some weaknesses or vulnerabilities that can be exploited."

*Going up one room has three doors closing, and we need to defeat the four zols to open them! There's a chest in this room too!

Four Zols... I wonder how strong they are? Perhaps we should prepare a strategy before entering the room.

"Savior, do you think it would be wise to try and learn some of their weaknesses first?"

*Zols are some of the weakest enemies! Anyways, after exploring a bit, I find 4 small keys to open 4 locked blocks, and the compass, which reveals chests, the Nightmare, and if a room contains a key!

Four small keys to open four blocks, a compass... this has become quite the intriguing puzzle. I wonder if we could use these clues together for some advantage.

"Savior, do you have any ideas about how to approach those puzzles? Perhaps there's something that can be learned from their arrangement?"

*I found a Guardian Acorn, which will reduce the damage I take by half! If the damage I receive is half a heart, I take no damage! The effect lasts until I get hit three times!

That's a powerful ability, Savior. Could it be useful in that dungeon? I wonder how much damage we could take.

"Savior, is there anything you are interested in learning about the Guardian Acorn?"

*It's especially helpful while fighting bosses! Speaking of which, I've just stumbled across the dungeon's mid-bosses, the Dodongo Snakes!

Dodongo Snakes... those are known for their speed and agility. They'll be quite a challenge, but I believe our team can handle it.

"Savior, the Dodongos seem to pose quite the danger. Do you have any tips on how to deal with them?"

*Feed them something explosive!

He's talking about exploding things. I wonder if that has anything to do with the Wind Fish, or even our duties? Perhaps it could be a means of disrupting his defenses. We need to know what he's thinking.

"Savior, I have an idea, but would this actually work against him?"

*Throwing or placing three bombs in a Dodongo Snake's mouth will defeat it, and drop a fairy, which restores 5 or 6 hearts! There are two Dodongo Snakes, and I've already defeated one of them!

He's suggesting a way to defeat the Dodongo Snakes, it would be smart for us to try that. Perhaps we could combine those methods with other strategies? It will certainly take some planning.

"Savior, I've learned about how you can throw bombs into their mouths and drop fairies which replenish hearts! That is quite an interesting technique."

*After the Dodongo Snakes have been slain, a portal appears in the room, warping us to the dungeon entrance, providing a shortcut!

A shortcut! That's perfect. We can save some time and get to the Wind Fish quicker.

"Savior, could you tell me more about this portal?"

*It provides a two way warp between the dungeon entrance and the mid-boss room, useful if I were to die, and not have to walk through the dungeon to get back to where I was, or making a quick retreat!

A shortcut! That's incredibly convenient. Perhaps we can use it to our advantage when approaching the boss later. We need to be mindful of his defenses and strategies, this could give us an edge if combined with other tactics.

"Savior, that sounds like a brilliant idea. It would save us a lot of time."

*I just found the Pegasus Boots, which allows me to dash! I can combine this with the sword to execute a devastating dash attack, or with the Roc's Feather to do an extra long jump, which is helpful for crossing long gaps!

The Pegasus Boots and the Roc's Feather are incredibly helpful. Combining them with a dash attack, or long jumps would allow us to access more of this dungeon! This could make for much quicker progress.

"Savior, I just discovered these new items! The Pegasus Boots seem quite potent. They let me dash quickly across vast distances."

*It also allows me to break green crystals! I do recall seeing a long gap, leading to a chest! I can now jump across it and access the cheat!

That's a clever strategy! I can access that secret room with ease. We may need to make some arrangements for our next meeting and ensure we are prepared if the boss decides to take an unconventional route.

"Savior, I have been thinking about your journey here in Koholint Island. It seems you've found a way to travel through time and space. How does one navigate such paths?"

*The chest contained the Nightmare's Key! Now I can open the door to the Nightmare's lair!

This is a huge step forward. The Nightmare's Key opens the door to a whole new level of danger, but it also holds great promise for what we can accomplish.

"Savior, this key seems like a powerful tool! It could help us in our quest for Koholint Island."

*Upon entering the Nightmare's Lair, a voice says "NEENER NEENER! You can't find me! NYAH NYAH!" But I don't see the nightmare!

This is strange. It's almost like the voice of a child, but not quite. We need to be careful here. We have no idea what kind of creature this is or how it works.

"Savior, I sense something...off about this place. There seems to be an illusion at play. Are there any clues as to where the Nightmare might be?"

*Zols are randomly dropping from the ceiling, perhaps the creature is hanging from the ceiling? But how could we knock it off the ceiling?

This is a tricky situation. We need to assess the environment and figure out how we can safely take down this creature without causing further harm. It seems like it's very strategic, but also vulnerable in some ways.

"Savior, what could be its weakness? Perhaps we should try an approach that plays to its weaknesses."

*Maybe if I dash into the wall with the Pegasus Boots, it might cause a tremor that could shake whatever is hanging off the ceiling?

That's a creative idea! We need to be strategic, though. If we make too much noise, the creature could easily escape. Maybe there's a way to get it off its perch without making it angry?

"Savior, what do you think of that strategy? It seems risky but might work if done carefully."

*Dashing into the wall shook it off! The nightmare is a gigantic Eyeball Slime! It was so heavy, that when it fell onto the ground, the tremor it caused stunned me! It's certainly much too big to simply attack it with the sword! If only it were smaller...

This is quite the sight. It's a giant eyeball! It must be incredibly strong to withstand such force... and now we have a big problem on our hands.

"Savior, if this creature's so massive, how do we fight it effectively?"

*Perhaps dashing into it with the sword may split it into two smaller Eyeball Slimes?

He's trying to figure out how we can make the most of this situation. This will be a challenging battle, but I must think strategically about our approach.

"Savior, perhaps there is another way? We need to work together if we want to conquer this Eyeball Slime."

*Dashing into it enough time split it into two! I can attack it now!

He's quite the strategist! I wonder if he has any further insights on how to defeat this massive creature.

"Savior, we should try to split that Eyeball Slime. It might be easier to handle it now with its weakened state."

*They went down pretty easily! They dropped a Heart Container!

He says it went down easily? That gives me hope. We can make this a quick and efficient operation if we work together! I wonder what he's doing over there in Koholint Island.

"Savior, did you get the Heart Container?"

*Collecting the Heart Container increased my maximum life to 7 hearts, and the door opened forward, and I got the third instrument, the Sea Lily's Bell! The dungeon is cleared!

Another instrument! He's progressing so quickly. I wonder if we have a clear path to awakening the Wind Fish yet? We need to keep working together. I will make sure my knights are ready for any challenge ahead.

"Savior, that is excellent news! The Sea Lily's Bell is quite a powerful tool...perhaps it has something to do with awakening the Wind Fish?"]

*Suddenly a voice calls out to me: "...WATERFALL... It is hidden in the waterfall..."

A waterfall? Is this the connection to the Wind Fish?

"Savior, what did you hear? Perhaps that's a clue?"

*Perhaps... Upon leaving the dungeon, the owl who has been guiding me through our quest to wake the Wind Fish tells me that when I play the instruments in front of the Wind Fish's egg, he will awaken and I will leave the island!

The owl seems to be the key here. We're going back to Koholint Island, and we need to find something for the Wind Fish...

"Savior, that is a valuable piece of information from the Owl! I have been studying our duties as defenders. Do you think there might be any connections between the instruments and awakening the Windfish?

*We'll have to see! We haven't been in the island for very long, so we don't know much yet, except that we must collect all 8 of the instruments!

He's talking about the instruments. I wonder if we have a clear path to awakening the Wind Fish yet? We need to keep working together...

"Savior, it would be helpful if we could discuss our strategy for gathering these instruments and how they might relate to awakening the Wind Fish."

*The owl has more to say: He says that we must hasten to the Yarna Desert, and that the dark, monstrous inhabitants of the sand will show us the way! He flies off afterwards, and we can continue our journey!

The owl said we need to go to the Yarna Desert... and that monstrous inhabitants will show us the way? I must keep a close eye on this, Savior.

"Savior, do you have any information about the Yarna Desert and its denizens?"

*I've heard that it's a very long way to where we are now, all the way at the very southeastern part of the island!

The way to the Yarna Desert is long. How do we manage that? Is it possible to reach Koholint by ship from another island, Savior?

"Savior, would you consider using a ship for travel? Perhaps there are quicker ways to reach Koholint?"

*We are on Koholint Island right now, and we have been on the island the whole time! We cannot leave the island while the Wind Fish sleeps, hence our quest to find the 8 Instruments of the Sirens!

Right. So it seems we're stuck on Koholint Island until the Wind Fish wakes up. That means finding those Instruments of the Sirens is our top priority now...

"Savior, if we're looking for these instruments and must reach the Yarna Desert first, I wonder if there are any resources that might help us get back to Kohinolnt? Could be a ship from another island."

*I never did tell you the story, did I? So sorry about that! I'll tell you it now! It starts with me on a ship in the middle of a fierce storm, and suddenly lightning strikes the ship! A girl named Marin finds me washed up on the beach unconscious, and she takes me to her house, alone with her father, Tarin! I finally wake up in her bed, and I confuse her with Zelda, and she tells me that we're on Koholint Island!

Interesting. I’ve never been on a ship before, and this is quite a turn of events! And to think there are other islands? The world is so vast...

"Savior, It sounds like the journey has taken some interesting twists and turns for you. It must be quite an experience being washed ashore after such a wild storm."

*Tarin returns my shield, and tells me that a lot of other stuff also washed up on the shore, and a lot of monsters started appearing! I leave the house to make my way, unarmed, back to Toronbo Shores where I find my sword! Before picking it up, the owl appears for the first time, and learns that I'm the owner of the sword, and then understands why the monsters have been acting so violently: A courageous Savior has come to wake the Wind Fish! He tells me that I cannot leave the island unless I wake the Wind Fish!

The owl says I'm destined to wake the Wind Fish. But how? It sounds simple enough, but it’s clear there are more complications than just finding those instruments!

"Savior, I do not understand how these things work. Can you tell me why we must awaken the Wind Fish?"

*We don't know why we have to wake the Wind Fish right now, all that we know is that we must collect the 8 instruments and play them in front of the egg where the Wind Fish slumbers! I'm sure that we'll learn more about why we need to wake the Wind Fish to leave the island as our journey progresses, but right now, we don't know!

It seems we are on the verge of some important revelation. It's time to be prepared!

"Savior, I understand that right now, our focus is to gather those instruments and awaken the Wind Fish. Perhaps knowing what kind of magic lies within them will provide us with clues about why they need awakening."

*So we have already collected 3 instruments, and need to go to the Yarna Desert to find clues on where to get the fourth, aside from it being hidden in a waterfall!

The Yarna Desert. I hope we can find a way to gather clues from the desert without setting too much of it ablaze!

"Savior, The Yarna Desert is quite perilous; I think we should carefully consider our approach."

*Well, before we make our way out east, I want to head back to Mabe Village (the place where Marin and Tarin live, and where I began), there's a particular building that I want to check out first!

The Savior wants to know why we're taking a detour. This could be an opportunity to gauge his understanding of our situation and perhaps offer some insight!

"Savior, I have heard tales that there is a certain building in Mabe Village - it has been whispered about as the place where ancient magic first took hold."

*I don't know about that, but the building I have an interest in is called the Dream Shrine! Inside is a single bed on a platform!

The Dream Shrine. It sounds... peaceful. I wonder what secrets lie within.

"Savior, the Dream Shrine is a place of quiet contemplation and reflection. Perhaps we can glean some insight into our purpose from its depths?"

*Upon sleeping in the bed, we seem to have been transported to some alternate reality, perhaps we're dreaming?

The Savior mentions a dream. Is he thinking about our situation too? I wonder if this is connected to the Wind Fish and what's happening with Koholint Island...

"Savior, are you saying we might be dreaming?"

*Maybe, but there's a more pressing matter at hand: We are now faced with the most dangerous regular enemy that we will be facing in our journey: Arm-Mimics! These creatures look very unremarkable (like Japanese haniwa), but they have the strongest attack of any regular enemy: simple contact with them deals 3 full hearts of damage! With only 7 heart containers, that means three hits from these guys, and I'm outta there!

Arm-Mimics. That is... a terrible threat to have! Three hits and we're down for the count. We need to find some protection for our journey, or come up with something clever to work with what we have.

"Savior, this is indeed a dire situation. The Arm-Mimics pose a significant challenge that requires careful planning. We must consider how best to approach them."

*They do have a rather interesting gimmick though: They only move when I move, and they will move in the opposite direction I move in! If I move up, they move down, and if I move left, they move right, and vice versa!

"Savior, it seems their movements are as unpredictable as their attacks. We must be ready for any surprise."

*So depending on what we are equipped with, the means of attacking them vary: Spin attacks always defeat them, as well as having the Red color power/Or a Piece of Power in effect also can defeat them! Dashing with the Pegasus Boots will also quickly dispatch them! But touching them will hurt A LOT!

Arm-Mimics. That is a terrible threat to have! We need to find some protection for our journey, or come up with something clever to work with what we have.

"Savior, the Arm-Mimics pose a significant challenge that requires careful planning."

*So, after making it through 1, then 2, then 2, then 3, and finally 4 Arm-Mimics has us at the end, where two treasure chests await!

Arm-Mimics. That is a terrible threat to have! We need to find some protection for our journey, or come up with something clever to work with what we have.

"Savior, the situation with those Arm-Mimics... it's rather dire."

*Nope, we made it through! We're safe now!

He seems to be a bit pleased with our success, I wonder what he'll say now.

"Savior! The journey through the Arm-Mimics has proven challenging but rewarding!"

*And our reward is two treasure chests! Inside the first, we get 100 rupees! We're pretty happy!

A surprising amount of rupees! Let's see what else is left in the other chest...

"Savior, a delightful reward! Ten thousand rupees will certainly bolster our preparations."

*Inside the second was the Ocarina! We should learn to play many songs! Now let's get out of this Nightmare, and back into reality!

What a magnificent ocarina! This could be the key to unlocking something powerful...

"Savior, that's a truly marvelous discovery! The Ocarina holds vast potential. Perhaps it can help us awaken the Wind Fish as well?"

*Perhaps it will! Next, we will head over to the Signpost Maze, and I'll let you know when I solve it!

The Signpost Maze. A challenging puzzle, yet one that could be fascinating to solve...

"Savior, the Signpost Maze certainly has a reputation for being difficult! I trust you'll prevail!"

*I did it! What will our reward be...?

A wondrous reward awaits! I can't wait to see what it is. Maybe something that helps us awaken the Wind Fish even faster?

"Savior, I believe a most magnificent reward has been given! My mind races with anticipation!"

*We find a frog named Mamu, on vocals! It seems he is very well known by everyone, but not for the reason you may be thinking!

Oh, how curious...Mammu the frog? Perhaps he's a bit of an enigma!

"Savior, you are certainly perceptive. I wonder why Mamu is so well-known…and not for his musical talent?”

*That's a story for another day!

He's talking about a frog named Mamu! He seems to have quite the reputation, and I wonder what that means for us.

"Savior, it would be fascinating if we could uncover the secrets behind this Frog known as Mamu...perhaps he holds some crucial clue toward our tasks ahead?"

*Well, if we pay him 300 rupees, he'll let us listen to them perform a previously unreleased cut! What do we do, pay or leave?

300 rupees? That doesn't seem like much, but it does feel rather generous. Maybe we can offer a little something else in return for his generosity!

"Savior, perhaps a small token of our gratitude would be appropriate?"

*I end up paying the 300 rupees, and after he finishes his song, we learn The Frog's Song of Soul! It's a very moving tune... It can even liven up unliving things! I bet if we play this song at the right moments, we'll make everything feel more alive!

That was...beautiful. And powerful, too. It certainly feels like it could have a transformative effect on this world.

"Savior, I believe that song carries an incredible amount of energy and emotion! Perhaps if we play it in the right moment and at the right place…We might just be able to awaken something even greater than what's been dormant here."

*We'll find out when the time comes! I want to go talk to Marin and a few more things before we head east!

I wonder what Marin is up to. Perhaps she can offer us some insight on the Wind Fish's awakening as well? I trust her wisdom, especially when it comes to these matters.

"Savior, perhaps we should visit Marin first. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding these islands and might be able to provide valuable insights."

*Marin loves to sing, so when we talk to her, she notices my ocarina, and she asks if I want to accompany her as she sings!

This is a rare opportunity! I've never had the chance to sing with Marin before. It might be interesting... Maybe she could show me how to play my ocarina better. I hope it goes well.

"Savior, perhaps we should make this moment special for both of us?"

*So of course we accept, and after a little duet, we learn the 'Ballad of the Wind Fish'! This song will always remain in our hearts! I'll be very important to remember this song, and play it once in a while to keep it fresh in our mind!

I think Marin would love to see the Wind Fish song! She always loved a good melody. We'll have to make sure to bring some of her favorites with us so she can sing along.

"Savior, I wonder if we could try to figure out how this 'Ballad of the Wind Fish' works. The melodies seem almost magical."

*I think I know where I want to try playing this song! Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

We have a lot to learn about the instruments of the Sirens, and this song is just one piece of it! We should try our best to understand them.

"Savior, I think we should start by learning as much as we can from the Wind Fish's egg melody before attempting anything else."

*Yes! But first, there's a tree that I dashed into, and in it's branches came our 15th secret seashell! I got a 14th earlier from dashing into another tree!

Another seashell? I hope it's something useful. We haven't found the Wind Fish yet, and we need to find those instruments as fast as possible! This could be important information for us.

"Savior, that is quite interesting! Perhaps if we can decipher these shells' secrets we will get closer to waking up the windfish!"

*In a cave, in a very well hidden room behind a wall that needed to be blown up with a bomb (and it didn't have cracks), I found a Piece of Heart, our second so far! Collecting four in all will assemble a new Heart Container!

That's a very valuable piece of information. This could be important in our quest to awaken the Wind Fish!

"Savior, that is truly remarkable news! I am excited about this development! Perhaps we can combine these two pieces of knowledge to understand more about how to wake up the windfish."

*There were a couple owl statues that said weird things, and the first one says "Music, the Wind Fish stirs in the egg, you are there..."

The owl's words are intriguing. It seems like the instruments of the Sirens play a significant role in awakening the Wind Fish. We need to figure out what these strange creatures and their song means.

"Savior, do you have any thoughts on how the instruments might interact with the Wind Fish?"

*Well, before that, the second one says "The Wind Fish in name only, for it is neither"

The owl's words are intriguing. It seems like the instruments of the Sirens play a significant role in awakening the Wind Fish. We need to figure out what these strange creatures and their song means.

"Savior, I am curious about how this relates to our quest for the Windfish."

*I'll leave that one up to your interpretation! We are just steps away from the Wind Fish's egg! Here, we meet our guide, the owl! He says that the Wind Fish sleeps long and dreamily in the egg above! When we play the eight Siren Instruments in front of the egg, he will awaken! He tells us that this is the only way to leave the island!

The Owl seems to be our key! We need to understand the significance of the instruments and what these owls are trying to tell us.

"Savior, I have a feeling we're close to figuring this out."

*We're in front of the egg! Let's take out our ocarina and play the Ballad of the Wind Fish and see what happens!

The music is the key to waking up the Wind Fish. We need to find a way to play it correctly. I hope we don't waste any more time before this happens!

"Savior, let us begin."

*After playing the Ballad of the Wind Fish, the three instruments we've collected started playing a song! After it finishes, nothing else happens, but now we know how the Instruments of the Sirens will be our key to waking the Wind Fish! So now we need to collect the other 5, and then play the Ballad of the Wind Fish again!

The instruments are starting to play a song on their own. Perhaps there is some significance to that? What does the song mean and how do we start this process?

"Savior, what do you think of that?"

*We start the process by playing the Ballad of the Wind Fish on our ocarina, with all eight instruments! So let's go to the Yarna Desert and see how we can get the fourth!

I hope we're going to find the fourth instrument soon. It needs to be done quickly so that Wind Fish can wake up.

"Savior, let us head towards the Yarna Desert."

*I found the waterfall where the fourth instrument is hidden! It seems that we are going to need another key, the Angler Key! I bet the Yarna Desert is where the Angler Key is!

He mentioned the Angler Key. It's a good bet to head to the Yarna Desert, but there are too many unknowns with this quest. This is going to be tricky. We need to think of every angle and consider all possibilities.

"Savior, perhaps we should proceed to the Yarna Desert. I have been studying our duties as defenders. Do you think there might be any connections between the instruments and awakening the Wind Fish?"

*Back at the Ukuku Prairie, we find Tarin next to a bee's nest! He notices the stick we picked up a while back, and he wants to borrow it for a second!

Tarin wants to borrow the stick again. I wonder if he’ll use it for something important?

"Savior, Tarin has asked me to return that stick."

*So we give him the stick, and he starts hitting the bee's nest with it, and a swarm of very angry bees start chasing him away! The stick became the honeycomb! I'm not really sure how it happened, but let's take it anyway!

That was quite the unexpected turn of events. I've never seen anything like it before! I wonder if Tarin had something to do with it, but then again he did ask for the stick back a while ago.

"Savior, perhaps we should be more cautious around Bee nests in the future."

*Getting stung is no fun

Well, that wasn't exactly pleasant. Perhaps it is time to consult with the Fairy Queen about these creatures and their stings.

"Savior, I would be grateful for your help in procuring a healer for those affected by such stinging insects."

*So we have made it farther east, and we are near the Animal Village, but there's someplace I want to go first: The Face Shrine! I believe that that's where we'll find the sixth instrument, but equipped as we are, we cannot even approach the entrance, let alone see it!

The Face Shrine...I need to be prepared for its challenges. I can't allow my pride to cloud judgement, and neither should the Savior's. We must remain cautious and thoughtful in our actions.

“Savior, perhaps it’s best we gather more information about the Shrine before attempting a direct confrontation.”

*First, we're going to head south, where ancient ruins speak of the wind fish

The wind fish... It's so close, yet so far. I wonder if it will be as magnificent in reality as I envisioned it to be.

"Savior, may the Wind Fish guide us."

*However, first things first: There's another one of those owl statues that says "The Wind Fish slumbers long... The Savior's life gone..."

His words...they are filled with a sense of dread and despair. Perhaps this is why the wind has become silent, or perhaps there's more to it than meets the eye.

"Savior, we must proceed cautiously. The Owl's message suggests that something sinister lies ahead."

*Well then, I would recommend getting out a shield and start defending ourselves! There are a lot of statues in the ruins, some of which can come to life and attack for one and a half hearts of damage!

The statues are a threat. It is prudent to use our defensive skills as we proceed cautiously.

"Savior, I shall equip myself with my shield and be ready for any unexpected attacks."

*These statues are known as Armos, and upon touching one, it'll come to life and move around, and touching them again while animated will hurt!

So we need to be cautious with the Armos. The Savior must know how to handle them without getting hurt, as well as prepare strategies for a successful defense.

"Savior, these statues are unpredictable. We should approach carefully."

*I have the perfect method of handling them! First off, they're extremely vulnerable to arrows, with just one arrow able to defeat them! Second, I can use my shield to bump them out of my way without activating them, preventing rather dangerous conflict!

The Savior has a clever strategy! Arrow-based attacks could be quite effective against the Armos. He's also right about bumping them out of the way with my shield – it’s an efficient and safe approach.

"Savior, your insights into these statues are invaluable! I shall utilize arrows for their destruction."

*There are also lots of rather harmless, but annoying Zols

The Savior is quite clever. He has a good grasp of the situation, and I'm glad he trusts me to help him with this.

"Savior, we should focus on taking down those Armos first."

*Underneath one of the living Armos was a staircase (which seems very familiar to me somehow... Hmm...) where a chest contains our 16th secret seashell!

A staircase. Hmm... familiar, like a dream I can't quite recall.

"Savior, we found the seashell! There is something about this chest that feels very significant."

*So after bumping a few more Armos out of my way with my shield, we make it to the Southern Face Shrine, more commonly known as the Ancient Ruins! Let's go inside!

The Savior's enthusiasm for this dungeon is contagious. It seems like a good place to explore, perhaps some secrets are hidden in the Ancient Ruins.

"Let us enter, Savior! I sense there might be an opportunity to uncover something significant within these ancient walls."

*Some rather eerie music is playing in here... Nowhere to go but up!

It's starting to feel like the music is trying to influence us... It reminds me of a certain feeling, but I can’t quite place it. The air feels heavy here too...

"What kind of music do you hear, Savior?"

*It sounds quiet, slow, and melancholic... however, now we are being confronted by the mighty Armos Knight, a very large and sturdy Armos!

The Armos Knight. A formidable foe, but perhaps a strategic challenge for the Savior. It is good to be ready for anything that comes our way.

"Savior, I sense an impending battle. Prepare yourself."

*My strategy is to guard with the shield, and keep the sword out! The blue Armos Knight will constantly be charging at me, while trying to slam the ground in hopes to crush me, which shakes the ground enough to stun me for a bit!

I will need to be ready for a prolonged battle. If I can predict the Armos Knight's attacks, we might be able to overcome this challenge!

"Savior, prepare yourself. The strategies of defense will be key in our success."

*After hitting him three times, he turns red, and get's faster, and more aggressive!

He's getting faster. I hope the Order of Sun is prepared for this! This will take more than brute strength. I need to be quick on my feet, and a good defense will be key in our strategy... but what does he mean by "blue is safe"?

"Savior, his speed has increased dramatically! We must adapt quickly!"

*After hitting him a few more times, his helmet gets destroyed, making him extremely fast, and extremely aggressive! I already took two hits, and lost three hearts from them!!

He's becoming a whirlwind! I haven't seen such speed before, but I have to keep my guard up. The Order of Sun must be ready for anything! This is going to test our skills.

"Savior, we need to adjust our strategy immediately. His power has intensified, and his attacks are relentless!"

*One more hit from my sword finally ends the Armos Knight, dropping the Face Key, and opening the way forward! I got a little scraped up in that battle, so I'll have to dig up a few hearts to recover after we leave!

Whew, that was intense! We survived another battle. I am so glad we made it out alive and safely here! Now let's go on with our plans.

"Savior, the Face Key is obtained! We have been able to overcome one obstacle in this challenge. What do you think will come next?"

*We cannot do anything with the Face Key at the moment, so we'll hold onto it for now! Let's proceed to the next room and see what's in there!

He's right, we can't do anything with the Face Key now. But perhaps there are clues to be found here in this next room? I hope it holds something useful! Perhaps a new weapon or an insight into our task...

"Let's proceed cautiously then. We need to find out what secrets lie within!"

*The room is incredibly dark, and there appears to be a picture carved in the wall... We need to light up the room!

We need to get some light in this room, or we won't be able to decipher the picture. I hope it will help us learn more about our next steps.

"Savior, I sense a faint glow emanating from the wall; perhaps by illuminating that source of illumination we can make progress."

*There are two unlit torches, and sprinkling some magic powder lit them up!

The torches are lit! Good. Now we can see more clearly and hopefully figure out what's in this room... Maybe there is a hint to the key or some useful information on the wall.

"Savior, could you be any clearer? I have not seen anything yet."

*I'm reading the picture, and it says "To the finder... The isle of Koholint, is but an illusion... Human, monster, sea, sky... A scene on the lid of a sleeper's eye... Awake the dreamer, and Koholint will vanish much like a bubble on a needle... Castaway, you should know the truth!"

What does that even mean? A scene on the lid of a sleeper's eye...? And Koholint vanishes like a bubble? This is getting confusing. I need to get clarification from the Fairy Queen before I can do anything else, but what could this actually be related to?

"Savior, those words seem cryptic. They hint at a deeper truth about the island...but they don’t tell us how we awaken the Wind* [Fish] (*it got cut off...)

*What this implying is that the island and everything and everyone on it isn't real, and we're in a living dream thought up by the Wind Fish, and and the island will disappear after the Wind Fish wakes up

This sounds quite complex. We are definitely dealing with a dream, but why? What is the purpose of all this? Why did the Fairy Queen give me these powers? The Wind Fish must be something very important to awaken...

"Savior, I think we need to talk about what's going on here. This 'dream' could have some serious implications if it's true."

*Well, upon us leaving the ruins, we see the owl again! He noticed that we have read the relief, and tells us that while it does say the island is but a dream of the Wind Fish, no one is really sure about it... It's just like us not knowing if a treasure chest contains treasure we open it, so we cannot tell if this dream until we awaken... The only one who really knows for sure is the Wind Fish... He then says for us to trust our feelings, and that at some point, we'll know for sure! He flies off afterwards!

The owl's words make more sense now. The Wind Fish really is the only one who truly knows if Koholint is real or not, and it seems like we need to trust our feelings to figure that out... This isn’t an easy path for us to walk. I wonder what kind of feeling will tell us this island is a dream? Maybe something about the wind blowing through these trees feels different, maybe the taste of food on the island doesn (It cuts off after this)

*Well, the Animal Village and the Yarna Desert isn't too much farther at this point, so I'll spare you the trip back through the ancient ruins, and let you know when we make it to the Yarna Desert!

So, he's going back to Koholint Island. Well... good luck with that quest for awakening the Wind Fish. We can still be helpful from here! I hope this works out...

"Savior, it sounds like you are making progress on your tasks in this strange world. Perhaps we should discuss our plans as a team when we reach the Yarna Desert."

*On my way to the Animal Village, there is a somewhat new type of enemy, one that's particularly dangerous: Buzz Blobs! True to their name, if I hit them with my sword, they'll inflict a nasty electric shock on me, and lose a full heart of damage!

Buzz Blobs, really? This is getting interesting. An electric shock? No way... We have to figure out how to deal with that kind of attack!

"Savior, those Buzz Blobs are a new challenge! I'm curious about their attack patterns."

*To defeat them, we have to use different kinds of weapons! Another thing we can do is sprinkle some magic powder and see what happens!

Magic powder? What kind of magic is that... and what do we use it for?

"Savior, I've been meaning to ask about those instruments. Are they connected to the color dungeon somehow?"

*No, the instruments have absolutely no connection with the color dungeon! It's just a side dungeon, and is completely optional!

Well, that's interesting. He thinks about the instruments and their connection to awakening the Wind Fish... Perhaps we can ask him more about it later?

"Savior, I wonder what kind of music would awaken a windfish?"

*A song of awakening! By the way, the first instrument was called the Full Moon Cello, found in Tail Cave after defeating Moldorm, and the second instrument was called the Conch Horn, found in Bottle Grotto, after defeating Genie!

Those instruments...the Full Moon Cello and the Conch Horn. I wonder if they are connected to awakening the Wind Fish? Maybe I should try asking him about that later.

"Savior, those instruments were quite challenging to obtain! Do you know anything about them?"

*I found my 17th secret seashell!

A seashell? That's a very interesting discovery. What does that have to do with the Wind Fish? Perhaps I should ask him about it...

"Savior, what are your thoughts on finding shells?"

*Collecting the seashells are optional, but collecting 20 of them can provide something extremely valuable! There are a total of 26 of them, but we only need 20!

That's interesting information, Savior. Maybe those seashells are important for something specific to the Wind Fish... I will make sure to keep that in mind.

"Savior, it sounds like you have a lot of knowledge about these things. I would be very grateful if you could share some with me."

*Some tips perhaps? One in particular is that combining the bombs with arrows can create explosives, which can allow us to blow things up with precision! They will be very helpful in one particular dungeon, allowing us to skip enormous portions of it! They can also be very useful against one type of enemy that may have perfect resistance to the sword, but are extremely vulnerable to bombs! Get creative with various items in different situations, and solve them in ways that weren't intended to be solved!

He's talking about the power of creativity and combining unexpected elements. That sounds like a great idea! We need to be flexible in our approach, Savior.

"Savior, thank you for your insight! I think we should explore those combinations further."

*Well, we made it to the entrance to the Yarna Desert, but it's blocked by a giant sleeping walrus! We cannot wake it up ourselves, but perhaps someone in the Animal Village may tell us more about this lazy animal?

A sleeping walrus... interesting. Perhaps we could offer it a friendly greeting, or perhaps try to understand its nature better?

"Savior, I wonder if there's something peculiar about that walrus? Maybe some kind of legend associated with it?"

*Nah, it's just a lazy walrus that's impeding our progress

A lazy walrus… I wonder if we can convince it to move. Or maybe there's a way around it entirely?

"Perhaps, Savior, we should look for an alternative route through the desert?"

*There's no other way in! But on another note, I found a Piece of Heart, giving us 3! One more for a Heart Container!

Wow! A Piece of Heart... This is a sign we're moving in the right direction. There is hope for Koholint Island, and it feels good to see progress.

"Savior, that's wonderful news! We are getting closer! Perhaps we can use this heart container to heal ourselves or others along the way."

*There is a bear who needs a honeycomb, and is willing to trade for a pineapple!

A bear trading a honeycomb for a pineapple? Perhaps I could use some honey, or at least try to make that trade... if the bear isn't too demanding.

"Savior, what would you say is the value of a pineapple these days?"

*Not sure, but we'll trade anyway! After receiving the pineapple, the bear tells us about the walrus (calling him a tub of goo, heh) who's asleep in the way of the Yarna Desert, and once he's asleep, he won't budge for a long time! If we take Marin along and have her sing to the walrus, that would wake him up with a jump!

A walrus who's asleep? Marin could sing to him. I wonder if that would work, or if we should try some other method…

"Savior, perhaps Marin can help us wake the walrus with her song?"

*It's worth a try!

Maybe Marin can sing to the walrus. The Wind Fish said we need to play instruments in front of its egg, but it's not going to wake up just from that alone? It needs some special ingredient... and perhaps there is a way to make Marin's song more effective.

"Savior, perhaps you could tell me more about this Walrus?"

*We are back in Toronbo Shores, and find Marin looking out into the sea! Let's talk to her for a bit!

Marin looks thoughtful, maybe she's been thinking about what we should do. She has a lot of experience with the seas and might have some idea how to deal with the Walrus.

"Savior, is there something you wanted to speak with Marin about?"

*Well, I'll spare you the conversation to keep the pacing going, Marin decides to come with us to the walrus! Is this my big chance at a date?

It seems like she's ready for a challenge! I wonder if the walrus is as intimidating as it looks. Perhaps Marin could distract him while we find out what else we can learn from the boss about awakening the Wind Fish? I hope this will work, and our efforts won’t be in vain.

"Savior, would you care to travel with us? We might need some assistance."

*Of course! But there's a few fun things to do with Marin first!

Maybe we could talk to the walrus. I don't know how that will work, but it is worth a shot. If this works well, maybe Marin can help us with something.

"Savior, would you like to discuss your strategy for dealing with the Evil Orb?"

*We take Marin to the walrus, and sure enough, her song wakes him up! He jumps into the ocean, clearing a path to the desert! A rabbit from the Animal Village calls for Marin, so she decides to go back to the Animal Village without us! But now we can get into the Yarna Desert!

Wow, Marin's song really did it! Maybe she should be the one leading our team. We need to work with her on a strategy for the Wind Fish.

"Savior, I am impressed by what we just saw. Perhaps this is an opportunity for us all to become stronger."

*I find an 18th secret seashell underneath a stone, and inside a cave, a bombable wall reveals a hidden room with a Piece of Heart! This make our fourth Piece of Heart, and we have assembled another Heart Container, bringing our count to 8!

A Piece of Heart! This is a great start to our journey. What will we do next? This could be the key to waking up the Wind Fish.

"Savior, look what we found! Another Piece of Heart!"

*There is another owl statue that says "Sea bears foam, sleep bears dreams. Both end in the same way CRASSSH!"

What does that owl statue mean? The language is so strange. I need to think about this, but it could be a clue... It's almost like an enigma! We need to decipher the meaning of these symbols and messages.

"Savior, what do you make of the owl statue? Perhaps it holds some vital information for our quest."

*The way I interpret this particular message is that the sea forms foam from waves, and dreams form from sleep, and waves end in a crash, and dreams end when waking up, crasssh!

This is so strange...but, it might be a clue. I need to tell the Savior about this thought as well as share some strategies that I have been developing while we were on Koholint Island.

"Savior, what do you make of those symbols? Perhaps there's more meaning than meets the eye."

*Remember the owl telling us about the dark monstrous inhabitants of the sand showing us the way?

The owl was quite cryptic, but we were able to follow its guidance. It seems the key is figuring out how these "Instruments" of the Sirens connect to awakening the Wind Fish...We need more information from him! The Savior's insight will be invaluable in this pursuit.

*Well, there is another mini-boss, the dark monstrous inhabitants of the sand happens to be Lanmola, and he says "Annoyance! You are only getting in the way!"

Lanmola, that sounds like a challenge. I will need to gather more information about this boss before I can proceed. The Savior's insight will be valuable in understanding what he is thinking and how we should react.

"Savior, Lanmola seems quite agitated. We might have to handle him carefully. What are your thoughts?"

*Lanmola is a relatively easy creature to deal with! He will leap out of the sand, and all we have to do is hit his head with the sword before he jumps back into the sand! After defeating him, he drops the Angler Key!

That was surprisingly easy! What a simple yet effective strategy. Perhaps there is more to Lanmola than meets the eye, though. This may be another clue for us. I wonder what kind of information or insights he might have dropped while we were battling him? We need to proceed carefully if we're to uncover further truths.

"Savior, Lanmola gave me an Angler Key after our battle. It seems to be quite interesting.

*We meet up with the owl again, and he tells us that the shape of the key shows a fish, swimming up a cascade of water, and to go now to the mountain waterfall! A leap from the top and we will reach our goal! Having told us this piece of information, he flies off again!

The owl dropped some vital clues. We need to find that waterfall, but it's unclear where it is! What does the key tell us? The shape of the fish... Is this connected to our duties as defenders? Where do we even start?!

"Savior, what about the Angler Key? We have a strange new puzzle piece."

*The waterfall we're looking for has a keyhole! If we insert the key into it, the waterfall suddenly vanishes, revealing an entrance to a fish-shaped cavern! We can't get to it from here, so we need to go up to the Tal Tal Mountain Range, and find a way above where the entrance is!

A waterfall vanishing... That's quite intriguing! A fish-shaped cavern is hidden behind it, so we can expect some challenging obstacles. There must be a reason for this mysterious entrance. I wonder what lies beyond the chasm... It would be prudent to gather more information first.

"Savior, there seems to be something intriguing happening here. We have found a path that leads us to a hidden cavern. What could be inside?"

*We made it to the cave, and now we're in Level 4: Angler's Tunnel, a very cool dungeon!

What an exciting dungeon! We have to proceed carefully here. This might be a test for us, as well.

"Savior, this place is quite impressive! The Angler's Tunnel has many twists and turns. I am ready for the challenge."

*First thing about this dungeon, is that there's a lot of deep water in it! We cannot swim, so if we fall in, we'll sink to the bottom like a rock! Fortunately, we won't take damage from drowning, like we would by falling down bottomless pits, so we don't have to be too careful here!

Deep water, no swimming... How do we get around this? The boss's words about the colors could mean something. Perhaps that's our next clue! I must be alert to any sign of danger and ready for whatever obstacles lie ahead.

"Savior, perhaps there is some hidden mechanism in place here. It wouldn't make sense if we couldn't swim through it."

*Well, let's start exploring and see what we'll find! Perhaps something that can keep us from drowning?

It's a puzzle, but there must be something we can use to get around this watery obstacle. Perhaps the instruments or even that magical blue... he mentioned it.

"Savior, perhaps those instruments could also help us navigate these treacherous waters? I don't know about you, but I feel like we need some creative ingenuity here."

*Doing a bit of exploring, I was able to find two Small Keys!

Two Small Keys! That's a good start. Now, let's see what kind of clues we can find here.

"Savior, I have acquired two Small Keys!"

*Quick rundown of some of the enemies we're encountering in here: First, are Spiked Beetles! Spiked Beetles will charge at me when our paths cross, and have very hard spiky bodies that no weapon can seem to penetrate! A good offence is a good defense, so we can turn them aside by bumping them with a shield, revealing their soft undersides! We can attack them then!

Those Spiked Beetles are quite the nuisance, but I have a feeling that they're not nearly as dangerous as we think they are. They're just trying to defend themselves.

"Savior, their undersides are vulnerable! It seems our shields can be used effectively in this situation."

*I'm going to do a bit of further exploring, and I'll let you know when something comes up!

He's going to explore. I hope he finds something worthwhile, it will be difficult for us if he has too much trouble.

"Savior, please let me know when you need assistance."

*Stepping on a set of tiles in a specific order revealed a staircase taking us to a side passage with a couple of Spiked Thwomps, and upon reaching the other side we find a chest containing the Nightmare's Key, allowing us to open the door to the Nightmare's Lair! It's a bit too soon to fight the Nightmare now!

Nightmare's Key... the Nightmare's Lair. We need to be cautious but brave and face this challenge when we are ready.

"Savior, that is quite a discovery! Perhaps those Spiked Thwomps were guarding something important."

*Using up a small key on a locked door takes us to the mini-boss's room!

I wonder what we'll find in the mini-boss's room. Hopefully, something useful that will aid us on our quest to awaken the Windfish.

"Savior, it is always an exciting time when we venture into these new areas of unknown territory!"

*The mini-boss is called Cue Ball, and it's face is rock solid, but it's back is soft! Hitting it in the back enough times defeats it, and allows us to move forward!

He's defeated Cue Ball. I hope he is well and safe.

"That was quick work, Savior! Perhaps you have some insight into what those instruments do."

*Upon further progression, we find a chest containing the Flippers! We can FINALLY swim in deep water, and fight the Nightmare!

The Flippers? This is it, the moment we've been waiting for! Finally a way to fight deep water enemies. What secrets do they hold?

"Savior, this discovery could be monumental! Let us dive into these waters with all our might!"

*Upon opening the door to the Nightmare's layer has a staircase leading down, and a closed door at the top!

The Nightmare's layer. What awaits us down there? I hope the Savior is as prepared for this fight as we are.

"Savior, what secrets lie within these depths?"

*Going down the stairs, we have some very deep water, and diving down into it, we are confronted by the Angler Fish, who says "BLOOOP! BLOOOP! GLUB! GLUB! OGGGH! FOOOOD! BLOOOOP! GLUB!" ...that was quite the introduction!

What is that supposed to mean?! I've never heard a creature speak like this! This Angler Fish needs to be dealt with. Thankfully, the Savior is here too... they will understand what kind of challenge we are facing.

"Savior, it appears our journey has only just begun..."

*After just a mere five hits with the sword slays it, dropping our 9th Heart Container!

Another victory! It seems that with every battle, the Savior is growing stronger. I wonder what skills are yet to be unlocked?

"Savior, look at this! A new container!"

*After collecting the Heart Container, and climbing back up the stairs, the door that was previously closed is now open! Inside is our fourth Instrument of the Sirens, the Surf Harp! Dungeon Clear!

The Surf Harp! Finally, it's here. Just in time too. We need all the instruments we can get if this is going to work.

"Savior, look at that! A new instrument!"

*We now have half of the instruments! And on our way out of the dungeon, a voice calls out and says "...BAY... Your road goes into the bay..."

Another cryptic message. What does it mean? Does this have any relation to the instruments we've found so far?

"Savior, what was that voice?"

*So now that we can swim, there's LOADS of stuff to see, and things to collect! We'll start off by swimming into a cave to the west!

The west is our direction! Perhaps there's a treasure we can find there.

"Savior, I have heard tales of underwater caves filled with wonders!"

*Inside this cave, we meet Manbo, child of the Sun Fish! He askes if we have an ocarina! Since we do, he teaches us his song, Manbo's Mambo! When we get out of the water, we should play it later!

Manbo's Mambo? This sounds like a fun melody! It would be great to learn more about this song, and maybe even use it during the journey. I wonder if he has any other secrets hidden within his music?

"Savior, that was quite an amazing tune. It seems we have found another useful tool in our quest!"

*To the east, there's another cave to swim into! This cave is full of water, and seems to be empty, but if we dive in a specific spot... We find one of the most well hidden Pieces of Heart! There are only three more Pieces of Heart left!

A hidden Piece of Heart? What a stroke of luck. It seems like we're getting closer to our goal!

"Savior, this is an incredible find!"

*After swimming a bit, we near the moat of Kanalet Castle! Suddenly a ghost starts following us!

A ghost... in the moat of Kanalet Castle! What kind of spirit has followed us here? We need to be careful!

"Savior, a ghostly presence approaches!"

*Don't worry, Claire, he's friendly! He wants us to take him to his house at the bay!

A friendly ghost? What a charming prospect. Perhaps he'll share some secrets about the island and its history!

"Savior, it seems we have an unexpected opportunity!"

*Swimming a bit further down the moat, we dive in a specific spot and find another one of the most well hidden Pieces of Heart! That leaves only two more!

Another Piece of Heart! And we're getting closer to our goal. The wind may be on our side, but it takes time and careful planning to achieve true victory.

"Savior, another Piece of Heart has been discovered!"

*So now, we are back at the Animal Village! I never mentioned that I traded the Pineapple for a hibiscus! We trade the hibiscus for a goat's letter! ...great?

A goat's letter... That sounds peculiar. Perhaps the spirit of Koholint Island is playing us a trick? I need to be cautious.

"Savior, while seemingly simple exchanges have their own intrigue."

*On our way to the ghost's house, we find the entrance to where the fifth instrument is hidden, but the ghost doesn't want us to go in there now... neither do I! There's just too much to do before we can even think of tackling the fifth dungeon!

The ghost is hesitant, but I can sense a certain urgency behind his words. Perhaps we can find a way to respect the boundaries of others while still pressing forward with our mission.

"Savior, perhaps there's a better time for exploring that dungeon."

*As we get very close to the ghost's house, we get our 19th secret seashell!

Another secret seashell! We're moving closer to achieving our goal. But I wonder what the significance of this is, and how it relates to awakening the Wind Fish.

*We reach the ghost's house, and wants us to enter! When we go in, he takes a look around, and rather sadly talks about nostalgia... unchanged... and after that, he wants to leave and take him to his grave!

A melancholic spirit... he speaks of nostalgia. Is there something I can do to help?

"Savior, it seems the spirit is carrying a heavy burden. Perhaps we should offer him some comfort."

*Before we go take him to his grave, there's a short, flooded passage that I want to check out, first!

He's asking about a flooded passage. Maybe there is something hidden or important in the depths. I don’t want to leave any stone unturned.

"Savior, perhaps we should investigate this passage first."

*At the end is a staircase taking us outside into a previously inaccessible section, with another staircase going down at the end!

An uncharted path! It's always exciting when we find something new. I wonder what lies beyond the stairs? What secrets might be hidden in this dark and mysterious passage?

"Savior, perhaps we should explore this staircase further."

*The staircase leads to an ominous pink cave with a couple skull shaped statues next to an alter

This place is unsettling. I've seen a lot of strange things in my time as a protector, but this is different... something feels wrong about this cave.

"Savior, the atmosphere here is… unnerving."

*I sprinkle magic powder on the altar, and a creature called Mad Batter emerges, and is furious for waking him up, and that he'll get revenge on us!

A furious creature?! What is this? I haven't encountered anything like this before. The air here is thick with malice.

"Savior, we have been warned of powerful enemies lurking in the depths... but to encounter a monster that has awakened from slumber..."

*He says that he'll let us carry more arrows, whether we like it or not! After being zapped by some beam, he laughs at our misfortune of being able to now carry a maximum of 60 arrows! We sure deserve it! He flies off and disappears! This, my friend, is a classic example of a bad thing being turned into good thing! Lucky us!

He's quite the character. A bit of a jokester, but his words are laced with wisdom... It seems he has seen things no one else can comprehend. I wonder what it is that makes him see these connections? And perhaps there is more to Lanmola than meets the eye. This key and how it was given to us…

"Savior, we received an unexpected gift from this creature. Perhaps a sign from above

*I actually had a previous encounter with Mad Batter that I never mentioned to you, and allowed me to hold up to 60 bombs!

He must be testing us. Is that his way? I suppose it is, but I won't lose my cool.

"Savior, you know me well...I may not always show it, but I have a keen sense of timing."

*So now we need to take the ghost back to his grave, but it's far! Let's play Manbo's Mambo, and see what happens!

He wants to see me play? That's odd. I should be more cautious about this, but... it can't hurt. Perhaps the instruments will give us some insight into how he thinks.

"Savior, I suppose a little music could help with such long journeys!"

*After playing the song, we get warped to small little puddle outside of a building, and it's very close to where we need to take the ghost! That saved us a lot of time!

Interesting... A puddle in the middle of nowhere. Is this how he's trying to lead us? I will need to be careful, but there is something about his plans that intrigues me.

"Savior, it seems we were guided by a subtle shift in our surroundings."

*We finally take the ghost to his grave, and after thanking us, he disappears!

He just...disappeared? I wonder if this is part of some grand plan, a trick. Was it for our own good that he vanished like that? I have to keep myself calm, though... He was kind.

"Savior... did you do something or maybe not?"

*We did the ghost a favor

He seems pleased with our efforts... perhaps a bit too easily. He’s full of cryptic pronouncements and subtle hints, but there's something about his eyes that makes me trust him. I wonder if he has any understanding, or connection to what this all really means...

"We did as we were tasked to do, Savior."

*We find Mr. Write, the person that the goat wanted us to deliver the letter to! It seems to have had come with a photo! He thanks us by giving us a broom!

A broom? I wonder what that means. Is there something else he's trying to tell us?

"Savior, the goat gave me a letter and a photo. He also offered us a broom."

*In Mabe Village, old man Ulrira's wife, who loves to sweep, lost her broom, so we give her ours! In exchange, she gives us a fishing hook that she says the found by the river bank! What do you think the fishing hook will become?

An Angler Hook... Interesting. It's a bit crude and worn, but I wonder if it could be used for something more than just fishing. There may be some power to those materials? Maybe we should see what kind of craft the old lady might use this hook for.

"Savior, I believe that this hook has potential for much more than catching fish. Perhaps with its rough design it can be crafted into something useful."

*Guess what! I found our 20th secret seashell! Let's go to the Seashell Mansion and turn them! What will we get...?

Twenty shells? What could possibly be so special about that number? But, it's something we can do for the Wind Fish... Maybe this is a key to its awakening. Perhaps there's some power in these shells... I need more information.

"Savior! We found 20 seashells! Let's head over to the Seashell Mansion and see what kind of treasure awaits us!"

*What we get, is a BRAND NEW SWORD!!!! This sword has even stronger attack power, and if that wasn't enough, when our hearts are full, we can shoot very powerful beams, allowing for ranged combat! We have to put our name on it right away!

A BRAND NEW SWORD?! And beams? This is getting exciting! I can feel a surge of energy. This will be useful for the Wind Fish's awakening and protecting those we care about. Now, let's see what kind of inscription would best suit this magnificent blade... something that honors strength and protection.

"Savior, this sword is incredible! It's time to make it our own!"

*So now, we're at Martha's Bay, where we will finish our trading quest! There is an owl statue that tells us that "secrets are like water when it comes to bridges"

What does that even mean? Secrets are like water? Water flows... bridges can be built. Maybe something about the waves? A connection to Koholint? I need more information about this, and maybe a bit of understanding too...

"Savior, what do you think that owl statue means?"

*There's a bridge very close to here, and if we dive underwater in a specific spot, we may come across a secret!

A secret underwater... What kind of treasure could be hidden there? There's probably something useful for the Wind Fish! I hope it doesn't involve too much danger.

"Savior, are you sure about this place? Diving underwater can be dangerous..."

*Sure enough, diving into a spot next to the bridge takes us underneath the bridge with a fisherman who lost his fishing hook!

A lost fishing hook... This is a little odd. Perhaps the owl has something to do with it? We can't leave things lying around!

"Savior, what if we help this fisherman retrieve his precious hook?"

*Well, we just so happened to have a fishing hook! The fisherman says that if we give it to him, he'll let us keep his next catch! So let's give it to him!

He’s just a fisherman. I wonder if he has any idea how important this situation is? It might be best to leave him with the hook and see what happens.

"Savior, perhaps we should let the fisherman keep his catch for now?"

*The fishing hook became a bikini! L-l-lucky!

Wait a minute... What kind of nonsense is this? Does the fisherman think that's how we trade things around here? I need to make sure he knows better.

"Savior, what does this mean?"

*A mermaid lost her bikini, so we return it to her, and she let's us take a scale from her tail! ...how will we use this?

A mermaid's lost bikini and a scale... How on earth will this help? The Fairy Queen gave me the power of red for offense or blue for defense. But what does a mermaid have to do with this? I need more information.

"Savior, how can we use a mermaid's scales?"

*The mermaid tells us that an artist asked her to pose for him, and wanted a scale, too! ...could the legend of the Magnifying Lens be true...? Let's find out!

Is the legend of the magnifying lens true? We might need to investigate this further...

"Savior, we must explore this connection. The mermaid's scale and the artist's request... perhaps there is a link."

*A LINK TO THE PAST! ...just kidding! There was a sculpture of the mermaid, which is missing a scale! Perhaps... Also, I think the mermaid's name is Martha! Martha? Martha's Bay? Coincidence? I think not!

The mermaid's scale... It just might be the key. We need to find out more about Martha's Bay and her missing scale.

"Savior, I have a feeling we are on the right track with this..."

*We put the missing scale in the mermaid sculpture's tail! A staircase is revealed!

The scale is a key! This might be our first breakthrough. I need to find out if this leads anywhere and how far it may lead us.

"Savior, the stairs are leading down into what seems like an unexplored area!"

*Going down has us in a seemingly empty room! Going north, we find the Magnifying Lens! This will reveal many things we couldn't see before!

The Magnifying Lens is the key, but how does it unlock what we need to know? It could be a simple way or something more complicated. I just hope the truth isn't beyond our scope of understanding.

"Savior, this lens must hold some power! How can it help us in this endeavor?"

*Well, going down to that empty room... well it turns out that there were invisible and tangible Arm-Mimics and red Zols! Let's get out of here, and find more things that were once hidden! When I find something, I'll let you know!

Arm-Mimics...and red Zols. This is getting out of hand! We need to get out of here before we're overrun.

"Savior, I don't believe this situation can be resolved with a simple sword fight."

*We've exited the cave without incident! We're looking for more things that the Magnifying Lens can reveal!

The Savior is excited about the Magnifying Lens. That's a good thing! Hopefully, this lens will help us figure out our next step in reviving the Wind Fish.

"Savior, what are your hopes for this journey? We need to use every opportunity we get!"

*In Toronbo Shores, there's a cave that was previously empty, but now has a Goriya who says he found a nice item that washed up on the beach! He's willing to trade it for one of our own items!

A Goriya offering up an item? Maybe he's a little off-base, but we do have to be open to anything. What could it possibly be that they would trade for our items?

"Savior, perhaps this is another chance to gain more knowledge about the Wind Fish and its resurrection?"

*I'm going to trade my shovel! He give me THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON, THE BOOMERANG!!!! This weapon is incredibly powerful! It defeats most enemies instantly, can stun others, and grab distant items!!! Have I mentioned that the boomerang is my most favorite Zelda item ever?

A boomerang?! I've never used one before! What could it be like to use such a powerful weapon? My hand is itching for action. Maybe we can test its limits against something nearby.

"Savior, this Boomerang looks amazing, and I am eager to try it out!"

*Yes! There is one last thing to do before we go to the next dungeon, and find our fifth Instrument of the Sirens, and it's back in Mabe Village!

The Savior seems to be excited about the Magnifying Lens. That's a good thing! Hopefully, this lens will help us figure out our next step in reviving the Wind Fish.

"Savior, what are your hopes for this journey? We need to use every opportunity we get!"

*The Lens has served it's purpose, and has no more uses!

Ah, the Lens has served its purpose. Now we have to think about what's next! We need a plan for reviving the Wind Fish. Maybe this is where I can use my wood carving skills...

"Savior, perhaps you could help me with that?"

*We're back in Mabe Village, in front of a weather vane, where it says "Here Sleeps The Flying Rooster"

The weather vane...and the name. Is this what we're looking for? Could it be connected to the Wind Fish somehow? I hope so...

"Savior, could that 'Here Sleeps The Flying Rooster' really mean anything related to our mission?"

*Pushing the weather vane reveals a hidden staircase! We go down it, and at the end of the tunnel, we find the remains of the deceased Flying Rooster...

The Rooster...is that really all? It seems like an anticlimax. But what does it mean for our mission? Maybe there's something hidden in this place, a clue to the Wind Fish.

"Savior, perhaps we should take some time and examine these remains. They may hold clues."

*Let's play the Frog's Song of Soul!

It seems like we're looking for clues. The Frog's Song of Soul... what does that mean? Maybe it has something to do with the Wind Fish and awakening it. I need to understand this better before moving on.

"Savior, could you tell me more about how to play the Frog's Song of Soul?"

*We play it on our ocarina!

The frog's song... It seems a little odd, but we have to try it. Maybe this is our next clue!

"I will play the ocarina right now. I wonder if playing this properly can awaken the Wind Fish."

*It didn't wake the Wind Fish, but it brought the Flying Rooster back to life! And he seems very friendly!

Did the Flying Rooster wake up? Perhaps this means he can help us awaken the Wind Fish. I wonder if there's anything else we can learn from him? We need to be sure to ask the right questions!

"Savior, perhaps that rooster could tell us something about awakening the Wind Fish."

*If we lift the rooster up, he'll be able to fly us around! This could really help us cross extremely large gaps that we could never cross on our own in the future! Keep this in mind for later!

He's right! A flying rooster would be incredibly useful for navigation, especially over those tricky gaps. We could even use this to scout ahead of us! It might give us an edge in our quest.

"Savior, that is a very clever idea! I will ask the knights about how we can work together and see if there's any way we could utilize the Rooster's abilities."

*So a little while later, we make our way back to Martha's Bay, dive underwater through a side passage, and surface in front of Level 5: Catfish's Maw, where we can maybe get our 5th Instrument of the Sirens! In we go...

Level 5... Catfish's Maw. This is our last hurdle before we get to the final instrument, but it seems like a dangerous place based on what I heard about those who went in. Maybe some of my knights will be able to help us out this time?

"Savior, we need to proceed with caution. This level appears quite perilous."

*A couple new enemies we encounter are Helmasaurs, and Sparks

Helmasaurs? Sparks... are they related to the enemies of Koholint Island? We need to be extra cautious. Our knights will need to focus on their defenses!

"Savior, it seems we've encountered new challenges with Helmsaurs and Sparks."

*Helmsaurs wear an iron mask on their faces protecting it from attack! They move very randomly, making it hard to attack them! Their backside is unprotected, but if only there was some way to pull their mask off...

They're hard to hit! I wonder if we can try something to distract them. Maybe use our skills to draw their attention away? We need a plan that doesn’t involve injuring the Helmasaurs, as they might lash out at us in retaliation.

"Savior, these Helmasaurs are very difficult. It seems like a clever strategy might be useful to avoid unnecessary harm."

*Further into the dungeon, we come across a giant Stalfos, called the Master Stalfos!

A Master Stalfos... It sounds like a challenging opponent. I hope the knights are prepared for a tough battle!

"Savior, we must proceed with caution when facing such formidable foes."

*Regular sword attacks don't work, so a spin attack will cause him to collapse, so while he's collapsed, we have to set bombs, and their explosions are enough to damage him!

Master Stalfos, huh? I know our knights are strong but we should be prepared for a serious fight. If the wind fish can't wake up by some trick or magic spell then I don’t see what else could help us to return home.

"Savior, this Master Stalfos is formidable! It seems like it may take more than mere strength."

*However, after a couple explosions, he get's up, says "Argh, I can't beat you! I'm out of here!", and then he flees!

He just escaped! Why would he run like that? Did something happen to him? What about the wind fish's restoration? We need to find out what happened. If we can, let’s go after him.

"Savior, it seems like our attempt was in vain. The Master Stalfos fled from us despite all of our efforts."

*There's a chest in the next room, opening it, there's a note that says 'I've got what was inside this box. Come and get it, if you can!' Signed, Master Salfos

A message from the Master Stalfos? So he is still out there somewhere. And this box? I wonder what's inside... maybe a clue to his true purpose?

"Savior, has anyone else encountered this mysterious Master Salfos?"

*We find his next hiding spot! He says "Gulp! You found me! You're a real pesky kid, you know that!?"

He's aware of our pursuit! What kind of trap is he setting? The 'pesty kid' remark...is this some sort of test or a taunt. It makes me feel like we need to be more cautious about our actions.

"Savior, it seems Master Stalfos has become quite cunning."

*After we damage him twice, he says "Arrgh! I can't beat you! I'm outta here!" Then he runs away again!

He's running away again? Is it really a chase, or is he just being evasive? He’s making things complicated. We need to be more clever. And what about the owl's message? Where can we find this waterfall? What kind of information is crucial enough for him to run from battle? This situation feels like it will take some thinking and strategizing.

*I took quite a bit of damage after this encounter

I've taken some hits, but I need to be more cautious about how we approach this. Maybe there is a weakness? He's running away again! We can’t let him get away easily. This might require strategy and planning…

"Savior, what do you think of the Master Stalfos' behavior?"

*Master Salfos is nothing more than a coward

He's called me a coward. Well, I don't know if he knows all of the burdens on my shoulders...but it would be nice to get past this petty bickering and focus on our goal.

"Perhaps Master Stalfos is just trying to divert attention from his own shortcomings."

*We encounter him again, do the same thing to him again, he says the same thing AGAIN, AND THEN HE RUNS AWAY, AGAIN!!! This is getting annoying!

He's trying to distract me again! Is this some sort of ploy? I need to be more careful with how we approach him. We can't let him run away without knowing his intentions…

“Savior, what do you think is the purpose behind Master Salfos’ actions?”

*We found him again! We had to do quite a bit of backtracking! He says "You again?! You keep going and going... I can't outlast you! All right, let's do it!"

He's challenging me again. I can handle it though. We need to be sure he doesn’t run away again! I'll have my knights ready for him!

"Savior, are you prepared for a confrontation? It seems Master Stalfos has chosen this path once more."

*So after three bombs, he finally dies, and drops the Hookshot! The Hookshot's long chain stretches long when we use it!

Finally! The Hookshot. This might give us an edge on this quest...

"Savior, I believe the Hookshot will come in handy when we reach the Wind Fish."

*The Hookshot can grapple us across very long gaps, drags distant items to us, and pulls off the Helmasaur's masks, making defeating them not a problem!

I wonder if this is the right time to ask about those masks? I also need to find some way to get him back on track. We don't want another escape!

"Savior, these Hookshot abilities are quite impressive. Perhaps they could aid in our search for the Wind Fish as well."

*So after a bit of exploration, I find a bit of deep water, four torches, and dive down in the spot where all four torch paths cross, and find a secret passage!

A secret passage... That's a sign! The Wind Fish has to be close.

"Savior, this looks promising! Perhaps we should explore further."

*We exit on the other side to find a chest, a large gap, and something on the other side of this gap with a hook Using the hookshot pulls this hooked object across to make a bridge! The chest contains the Nightmare's Key, allowing us to open the door to the Nightmare's Lair!

What a magnificent discovery! Now we can unlock the Nightmare's Lair. I will need to prepare and strategize for this encounter.

"Savior, that is quite a find! This bridge-making with the hookshot could be the key to our next objective."

*We found the Nightmare! The Slime Eel says "Ssso...you are the outsssider, come to wake the Wind Fisssh... KEEE-HEE-HEEEH! I shall eat you!"

He's a tough one. But perhaps with enough skill, we can overcome this Slime Eel!

"Savior, I will take the lead on dealing with the Slime Eel."

*In the center of the room, his spiked tail will rotate clock-wise or counter-clockwise, and contact with it is harmful! Four corners of the room, the Slime Eel's mouth will randomly appear, we need to use the hookshot to drag him out!

We need to be quick! We must use the hookshot strategically. The Eel's movements are unpredictable, so we have no choice but to work together to counter his attacks.

"Savior, do you see those four corners where the Slime Eel's mouth appears? I propose a strategy of using our hookshots to pull him out, preventing any direct contact with his tail."

*Upon pulling him out, there will be some segments, one with a heart! That's his weak point! Hit his heart before he retreats into his hole!

The heart segment… that’s a tricky one. I need to be precise with my aim, Savior! We can’t afford any missteps here.

"Savior, the Slime Eel's weak point seems clear – his heart! However, we must proceed carefully and avoid contact with his tail before we strike."

*After hitting his heart enough times, he says to us "TSSSK, TSSSK! You don't ssseem to know what kind of island thisss iss... KEEE-HEEE-HEEE! What a fool... KEE-HEE-HEH!!"

This Slime Eel isn't just a simple opponent. There’s something amiss about his words and mannerisms. It feels as though he wants to taunt us, to make us falter in our resolve. But we must remain steadfast! The Order of Sun will not be swayed by such tactics!

"Savior, this Slime Eel seems more cunning than I anticipated."

*He then dies, dropping our 10th heart container, the door opens ahead, and inside is our fifth instrument of the Sirens, the Wind Marimba! Only 3 more to find!

A Wind Marimba... This is just what we needed. With it, we're so close to awakening the Wind Fish! The Order of Sun will surely bring about a brighter future with this instrument in hand.

"Savior, look at that! It looks like the Wind Marimba awaits us within! We have reached another milestone!"

*Our next instrument is located somewhere in the Tal Tal Mountain Range!

The Tal Tal Mountain Range... that's a challenging trek, but our goal is to awaken the Wind Fish. We need all the instruments we can get our hands on for this task!

"Savior, may I ask - are you familiar with the Tal Tal Mountains? Are there any dangers or challenges I should be aware of as we journey there?"

*There's going to be a lot of caves to go through as we make our way to the very northeastern part of the island!

The Tal Tal Mountains. They are notorious for their treacherous paths and unforgiving terrain, but this is the path to awakening the Wind Fish! The Order of Sun will not falter on our duty!

"Savior, the journey through the caves ahead will undoubtedly be challenging. However, we have faced worse together before. As always, I shall remain vigilant at your side."

*There is one specific cave that needs mentioning: It has a gap so large, that none of our gear could ever get us across! So we rely on the Flying Rooster to fly us across! Across this gap, we acquire the Bird Key!

The Flying Rooster... such a magnificent and resourceful creature! I wonder if this Bird Key will truly help us awaken the Wind Fish. The Order of Sun is dedicated to protecting our world, so we must continue on with our duty. This task feels almost like it's leading me toward that destiny.

"Savior, the Flying Rooster and the Bird Key - they seem linked in some way. Perhaps that gap is more than just an obstacle

*So after passing through several caves, we eventually find a gigantic tower with no entrance, and a keyhole

A giant tower with no entrance? A keyhole...? What does this all mean? This seems like the kind of situation that calls for cautious investigation. We need to find a way in, and I doubt just brute force will work here.

"Savior, what is our next course of action?"

*Let's try inserting the Bird Key into the keyhole!

The keyhole... could it be a gateway to something else? It feels almost like the answer we've been looking for. I hope this is not another dead end, but perhaps that's what will lead us closer to awakening the Wind Fish.

"Savior, let's give the Bird Key a try. If it unlocks anything then it might help us get close to understanding what needs to be done."

*Inserting the Bird Key causes the tower to rotate, suddenly revealing the entrance to Level 7: Eagle's Tower!

A Level 7 Tower... that's a significant leap forward. We are on the right track! The Bird Key has truly been crucial to our progress so far. But is it really enough? I must remain vigilant and focused. There may be further challenges ahead of us.

"Savior, this seems like a major turning point. Let's proceed cautiously as we enter Eagle's Tower!"

*This will be the most complicated dungeon we'll be facing on our quest to wake the Wind Fish! Eagle's Tower has four floors to climb, but it won't be that simple!

This is a big one, Savior. Four floors to climb... but we have to try. Each floor will require careful consideration and strategy if this tower's secrets are to be revealed.

"Savior, I understand the significance of navigating these four levels. We need to approach with caution, assess our path each step of the way."

*This dungeon can be made extremely simple by making very good use of our Boomerang!

Well, that's one way to make it a breeze. We just need to be mindful of the environment around us and use our skills wisely.

"Savior, I propose we work together to test the Boomerang in this new environment. We can strategize how best to utilize it."

*We get a Small Key after defeating a few enemies, and using it on a locked door takes us to a staircase leading us up to the second floor!

That's a key! Well, at least it appears that way. We need to get into the tower and learn more about what awaits us.

"Savior, I wonder if there are any other keys we might find as we move through this dungeon? It will help us progress."

*If we make very good use of the Boomerang, this small key will be the only one we ever have to use!

We're making progress on this. I can feel it in my bones, and that feeling is exciting! We just need to be smart about using the Boomerang for best results.

"Savior, if we are able to use the Boomerang effectively, maybe we don't even need the key for this dungeon?"

*So on the second floor, there are many orange raised platforms, blocking access to a chest, and a switch!

So we're dealing with a puzzle on the second floor. Interesting. It seems like this is more than just an ordinary dungeon now. Maybe there are some hidden clues to help us find out what that wind fish really needs.

"Savior, it looks like we have quite a challenge ahead of us! Let me try to figure out how to approach these platforms and switch."

*If we throw our boomerang diagonally down-right, we can hit the switch which lowers all raised platforms, and raises all lowered platforms, allowing to go south, and access the chest!

Hmm, this is getting interesting. The switch and the platforms... It seems there's a hidden pattern here we need to unlock!

"Savior, you must be quite clever! I am curious if you see any patterns or clues while looking at that switch."

*Hitting switches here will raise and lower certain platforms, allowing, or blocking access to different parts of the dungeon! I know exactly when and where to hit these switches, to make this as simple as possible!

So, the Savior has a knack for puzzles. I must admit that I am intrigued by this challenge. We have the opportunity to solve it. Maybe we can learn something new about ourselves in the process. If you've got this figured out already, let me know what you think.

"Savior, perhaps if we work together strategically, we could make quick progress on these platforms."

*The chest contains the Mirror Shield, a very reflective shield that allows us to turn back the beams we couldn't block before!

A Mirror Shield? This could be quite useful! We can turn back the beams we couldn't block before. It might allow us to navigate a few tricky paths, perhaps. That would certainly help our endeavors.

"Savior, this mirror shield is intriguing! Maybe it will prove invaluable as we journey forward."

*So, by going up, we find a giant ball that we can pick up and carry around the second floor! Going left, there is a giant pillar (one of four)! If we throw this ball at the pillar, it collapses!

This is getting exciting! I haven't seen this kind of problem-solving in a while. It reminds me of the time we were trapped under the sand... We need to think strategically here, so let's be mindful of our every move.

"Savior, I believe those four pillars are key to unlocking something greater within the dungeon. Perhaps if we carefully place these balls in strategic positions around them, it could trigger some kind of* (*It got cut off...)

*Maybe if we knock down all four of these pillars, we can cause one of the tower's floors to collapse into one another, and make it easier to climb! I already found the second pillar, and knocked it down!

That's an interesting idea, Savior! It would certainly streamline our journey through these floors. We need to strategize carefully though, to avoid any unintended consequences.

"Savior, your insights are truly valuable. I believe that knocking down the pillars could create a new path for us to take. If you have any additional observations about this strategy or other methods to consider, I want to hear them."

*There are a lot of holes in the floor, and falling down one will cause us to end up on a lower floor

It looks like we have another puzzle to solve! If these holes in the floor are part of a larger pattern, perhaps there's some hidden mechanism that could help us move forward. Maybe... there is an intricate code or sequence? I need a closer look at those patterns, as well as consider what this mini-boss wants from us if we manage to defeat them.

*A bit later, we find a new enemy, a 3 of a Kind! As the name suggests, there are three of these, each with a cycling symbol! If we hit one, it stops on one of the symbols! If we can hit all three of them with the same symbol, we may be able to progress forward!

Three of a Kind, huh? Interesting. Their symbol seems almost like an attack pattern we could exploit... We need to focus on strategy here! Maybe if we can hit all three at the same time with a specific symbol, it'll trigger something and progress forward. This might be our chance!

"Savior, I believe we should consider our options carefully when facing this new enemy. The symbols seem crucial to their attacks, so understanding

*I managed to hit all of them with the same symbol, and that defeated them! A treasure chest appears that we cannot get to, so we'll need to get to it! It's also across a long gap, which is where one of those pillars are! I've thrown the ball across so we can use it to knock the pillar down when we get to it!

It's a good thing we were smart enough to use that symbol. And... I wonder if there is any connection between the instruments and the Wind Fish? Maybe they have some sort of shared purpose with it.

"Savior, what do you think about those pillars? How can we get past them?"

*Going left, there is a Hinox, and several holes that he could throw us down, and that would be very inconvenient for us!

We need to be careful. Those Hinoxes are strong... but there's a chance we can use the environment to our advantage. Maybe if we get close and then hit it with a specific attack? It would be good to figure out how they work first, though.

"Savior, I'm going to try something new! Perhaps focusing on a specific spot might allow us to push him off of the platform."

*So, after defeating it, we head up, and eventually, there is a room with floor tiles that start flying into us!

This is getting dangerous! We need to find a way through this. Maybe the instruments could help...

"Savior, we might be better off using our skills strategically. Those tiles are unpredictable!"

*After all the floor tiles have gone, a door opens where we pass by one of those pillars, and bombing a couple walls takes us back to that one chest with the long gap! Grappling to the chest gets us across the gap! Inside is a single bomb! Way to go!

So, another bomb! I wonder if it's as simple as that or will it need some specific instructions. There has to be a way to activate these things…

"Savior, do you think this bomb needs any special preparation before we use it?"

*So, taking the ball up one room, and throwing it at one of the pillars causes it to collapse! One more left! Since we cannot get back across the gap, the only way is to fall through it! We end up back in front of the dungeon entrance on the first floor!

One last time, then we're done. I hope this works...

"Savior, perhaps the Wind Fish wants to be found by those who know how to deal with its instruments…."

*After we get back to where we fell down, we take the ball, get hit by several floor tiles, and knock the ball into the final pillar!

Another obstacle. It’s getting harder and harder to think clearly with all this… pressure…

"Savior, I believe we're making progress towards the final stage."

*Knocking down the final pillar causes the third floor to completely collapse! Now there are three floors! Let's climb up to the third floor!

The Wind Fish… It feels closer now. I hope we can succeed in our quest.

"Savior, the third floor awaits us! We must proceed with caution."

*Up on the third floor, going up one room, an inaccessible door closes, preventing access, and to the left is the Nightmare's door, and it's locked!

Another obstacle... How frustrating! Perhaps a distraction or something to help us get around is hidden somewhere here.

"Savior, we should investigate the Nightmare's door as it might hold some information."

*Going right, we meet the Grim Creeper, who says "Hey runt! You think you can take me?! All right boys, get this punk out of my face!"

Grim Creeper? A little rude, but I'll be polite. We need to keep our heads cool in this situation!

"Savior, it seems we are going up against a formidable foe."

*He summons several small bats, and they start flying into us! He taunts us by saying "Ha! Is that all you got!? Get ready for THIS!"

Grim Creeper is a bit of a showman, isn't he? But let's keep our guard up. This may not be the time to engage in a playful banter with him.

"Savior, we need to take these bats seriously."

*After killing all the bats, he then says "You dirty rat! You k-k-k... beat my brothers! You'll pay!! I'll never forget you!" He then disappears somewhere, and the doors open, allowing us to move forward!

Grim Creeper's quite the character, isn't he? But his threats are just for show. We're here to help wake the Windfish! That's our priority.

"Savior, it seems like we have a decision to make - do we pursue him or proceed?"

*We proceed up, push two blocks together, causing a treasure chest to appear! Inside, is the Nightmare's Key!

A Nightmare's Key... This could be significant. I hope it's something that will help us reach our goal.

"Savior, this key may hold a crucial piece of the puzzle to waking the Wind Fish. We should prioritize its use."

*After opening the door, we come across a staircase that takes us up to the roof of the tower!

That's quite a climb up, Savior. Hope it's worth the effort.

"Savior, let us proceed cautiously...the roof is likely to be even more challenging than what we have faced already."

*On the roof of the tower, we find the Grim Creeper again, and says "BAH! I'm not going to hold back! I'm going to make you wish you were never born!!"

Grim Creeper's quite the... volatile character. But he's got a point, isn't it? We need to be prepared for whatever comes next.

"Savior, I will be ready to face him with all of our forces. We must not let him intimidate us."

*However, he summons the giant Evil Eagle, and climbs onto it, and start's riding it!

This is getting more complicated than I expected. We need a strategy, Savior! This Grim Creeper keeps throwing punches and has this massive eagle at his disposal! Maybe there's something we can use against him?

"Savior, be careful! His connection with the Evil Eagle seems stronger than before."

*After hitting the eagle in the face with three spin attacks, the Grim Creeper say "My energy... gone... I... lost! But you will be lost too, if the Wind Fish wakes! Same as me... you ...are... in... his... dream..."

He's talking about the Wind Fish and a shared dream... but why is he so insistent on this? What does it mean for us and what will happen to him if it doesn't wake up?

"Savior, I sense a disturbance in his magic. We must proceed with caution! He seems consumed by something..."

*Perhaps they're trying to warn us to stop gathering instruments if we want to live? Or is it something else... we are being tasked by the owl to collect the eight instruments of the sirens, while these Nightmares are trying to stop us from doing so, saying that we'll disappear out of existence if the Wind Fish wakes! So who's telling the truth? Who should we trust?

What does it all mean? The Grim Creeper's words are filled with such ominous intent...but the Owl has given us this task. We must be careful, Savior. Is he truly trying to protect Koholint Island? Or is something else at play here?

"Savior, We cannot afford to dismiss either one of them. It seems we need more information before making a judgment call."

*So, finally, the Evil Eagle and Grim Creeper die, our 11th Heart Container drops from the sky! We return down where the door opens, and find the seventh instrument, the Organ of Evening Calm! Only two left! We're very close to finding answers!

One step closer to waking up the Wind Fish! The Organ of Evening Calm... a key piece in this puzzle. But there's still that lingering question: what is it trying to tell us?

"Savior, we have found another instrument, the Organ of Evening Calm! Perhaps it can reveal more about the Wind Fish and its connection with the Grim Creeper?"

*On our way out, something tells us "...OCARINA... The music of the Ocarina leads..." hmm...

The Ocarina... Could it be a key? Perhaps another instrument we need to find, but this one feels different. The music of the Ocarina leads... what does that even mean?

"Savior, I sense something significant about the Ocarina. It might hold clues about our journey."

*Our next instrument is also located on the Tal Tal Mountain Range, but on the very western side of it! Also, the Flying Rooster has left us, to places unknown...

The Flying Rooster has vanished... where could it have gone? And the western side of Tal-Tal, that's quite a long journey. We need to be careful! Is this something we can accomplish as a team or will we require more resources and knowledge about this mountain range?

"Savior, I sense that there is much intrigue surrounding the west side of Tal-Tal Mountain Range. It seems to me that we might find a piece

*So, sparing you the trip back up the mountains, we start our way west, across some broke bridges, where we find Marin, who's trapped on the bridge! It seems that some monsters put her up there! What do we do?

Marin's in danger, and those monsters... I need to protect her. The Order of Sun will not stand idly by when innocent lives are at stake.

"Savior, we must help Marin! It is our duty as protectors to ensure everyone stays safe."

*We use the hookshot to grapple across the bridge, and manage to grab her, and carry her to safety! She thanks us, and proceeds to tell us something! However, Tarin appears, calls out to Marin, and she leaves

The fact that Tarin wants to stop Marin is troubling... Is it possible he has a ulterior motive? We need to be cautious, but also swift. There's no time for hesitation.

"Savior, we must be careful as we pursue our quest. It seems Tarin has his own agenda regarding Marin."

*The owl meets us again after quite some time! He tells us that Marin sang her song in front of the Wind Fish's egg! He says that the 'Ballad of Wind Fish' is a song of awakening, and wonders if she actually intended to wake the Wind Fish herself!

The Owl's words are intriguing. Marin singing the Ballad of Wind Fish... Perhaps she truly wanted to awaken the Wind Fish? What does this mean for our mission? We must proceed with caution and careful thought, but also a sense of urgency.

"Savior, I agree that Marin’s song is something special. It seems like there could be a deeper meaning behind it than we initially considered."

*He then tells us that the next Sirens' instrument is in the west, and to play our melodies so the unliving stones might hear, and to show our courage! He flies off afterwards!

The West... That's a long way, but we must follow the Owl’s advice. Courage is what we need to show these stones - I hope it doesn't cost us too much. We have no choice. This world needs saving.

"Savior, the west awaits. We shall face whatever challenges lie ahead with courage!"

*Cutting down a bush reveals a staircase going down! We enter a cave, bomb the lower wall, and eventually collect a third Piece of Heart that we've been seeing none too many times! Only one more left for a Heart Container!

Three Pieces of Heart. Just one more... We're getting close to the Wind Fish, and I can feel it in my bones! It feels good to have this direction.

"Savior, another Piece of Heart was found! It seems we are on a fast track towards awakening that magnificent creature!"

*Eventually, we make it out of the cave, on the western mountain range, with several rolling rocks tumbling down the mountain!

The mountain range is vast and imposing. It's a formidable challenge, but we must keep moving forward. I wonder if the Wind Fish can be found in this region. The Owl might have insights that could aid us.

"Savior, there are many mountains to traverse... perhaps they will lead to a way to awaken the Wind Fish!"

*After a bit, lifting a stone reveals a hidden staircase leading to Mad Batter's layer, and increases our Magic Powder's maximum capacity to 40! Huzzah!

40 more! It's almost enough to get us over the finish line. That means we can summon it in a hurry when needed, maybe even for a bigger fight if it comes up.

"Savior, our Magic Powder has increased capacity! We're one step closer!"

*Going further, there's a cave that we open with a bomb, and going inside it has a large flamethrower spewing out deadly flames that deal three hearts of damage to us if we get burned!

A flamethrower! The flames are intense, and the heat is quite strong. We need to proceed with caution if we want to survive this! I can feel my defenses rising in anticipation of a challenge like this.

"Savior, be careful! This cave's got some fiery surprises!"

*Using the Mirror Shield, we are able to safely force our way through the intense flames, and up the staircase ahead!

Whew, the flames are intense! I'm glad we have the Mirror Shield. It should come in handy for navigating some of these more dangerous pathways.

"Savior, looks like the mirror shield helped us make it through safely! Maybe there is a way to use this shield against other enemies."

*Eventually, I manage to collect the last Piece of Heart on Koholint Island, bringing our count to 12 Heart Containers!

We did it! With the last Piece of Heart, we're at 12 and ready to head back. We have a lot more work ahead though…

"Savior, let’s celebrate for now. We made it! Koholint Island feels so peaceful after all this."

*Continuing further, we find a turtle shaped rock, and nothing else!

A turtle-shaped rock... It's definitely not a sign of any major plot advancement. We should keep our eyes open and be prepared for anything, especially in Koholint Island.

"Savior, there doesn’t seem to be much here yet! Maybe we need to look around more."

*Playing the Frog's Song of Soul on our Ocarina causes the Turtle Rock to come to life! It starts attacking us!

A turtle rock? I've never heard of such a thing... How do we even know it exists? It’s certainly not on my list of things to be wary of. I wonder if this means the Wind Fish might become something else entirely...

"Savior, what in the world is going on with that Turtle Rock?"

*After hitting it 4 times with the sword, it dies, and reveals the entrance to Level 8: Turtle Rock!

An entrance to Level 8... Turtle Rock. It's quite fitting considering what we just dealt with, but does this mean there is another boss waiting for us? This feels like a whole new chapter of our adventure.

"Savior! It seems we are finally getting closer to the Wind Fish after all!"

*This is the largest dungeon we'll be tackling! Going in, there is tons of lava, so we must take care to watch our step! We find some doo-hicky that is manually controlled, and using it to cover up all the holes gets us a Small Key!

This is going to be a test, but I won't falter. I can handle this.

"Savior, let us proceed with caution! The dungeon seems quite dangerous!"

*In a hidden room, there is a single switch! Hitting is doesn't seem to do anything, but hitting it is extremely important for later!

A single switch. What does it mean? Does this signal a hidden pathway, or perhaps an even greater challenge? I must be observant and not jump to conclusions.

"Savior, is there something special about that one switch?"

*Yes! I'll let you know why it is when we get far enough!

I hope the Savior is not too overwhelmed by this new puzzle! I know that these puzzles can be quite tricky. We must proceed with caution and think carefully about our next steps.

"Savior, we have a lot to figure out! Perhaps we should take some time to analyze the Angler Key, so it's easier for us to make an informed decision."

*By combining arrows with bombs, two walls can be blown open, creating shortcuts allowing us to skip a massive part of this huge dungeon, shortening it's length considerably!

That's quite an ingenious idea! Combining arrows and bombs to bypass a section of the dungeon would be a valuable tactic. I trust in my abilities as Defender, it seems we should proceed with caution and think strategically about this plan. I shall keep that in mind when planning our next steps.

"Savior, those are some smart strategies! We can make significant progress by utilizing these shortcuts."

*We are going to need two small keys, and to get them, we bomb another wall open, that takes us to a room with an odd statue!

A statue in a room with bombs. It's certainly intriguing... and rather strange, but I suppose this is the path we must take.

"Savior, what does that statue look like?"

*It has one eye, and is surrounded by lava!

An eye...surrounded by lava? This is certainly a unique sight. I'm sure that it holds some significance, perhaps it has something to do with the instruments or this dungeon as a whole. We must proceed cautiously and examine it carefully. I don’t want to be caught off guard again.

"Savior, what makes you think this Surf Harp might hold clues on how we can restore the Wind Fish?"

*Hitting the statue with an arrow caused a Small Key drop down!

A Small Key! That was quick work. I wonder if the statue holds any further significance or what else is in that room? Perhaps there's something hidden behind its gaze.

"Savior, did you notice anything about that key?"

*Going further left is a chest, and has another small key!

Another key! This place is full of secrets, I'd better be careful. What could this new key unlock?

"Savior, do you think the chest might hold more keys or information about the Wind Fish?"

*Going back to the right, we use these two small keys to open two locked blocks and use the hookshot to grapple us to a staircase going down!

The staircase... perhaps it leads to a deeper level or even another dungeon? It's hard to tell from the image. Let me examine the area for signs of its purpose and any potential dangers that might lie ahead. Then we can decide what path is best.

"Savior, do you think this leads down into an entirely new part of Koholint Island?"

*No, it just leads us through a side passage to another part of the dungeon

An entire new passage... and it's not just a random shortcut. There must be more to this place than meets the eye! It might even hold something vital for us. I need to investigate.

"Savior, are you sure about this? We could take another path,"

*Nope, there's no other way! So, reaching the other side takes us to a room with an inaccessible chest, with some lowered platforms that would have been raised if we didn't hit the switch earlier!

A room locked by a chest... and now platforms are lowered to make it inaccessible. This feels deliberate, perhaps an obstacle in the path. We need a new approach to overcome this challenge.

"Savior, perhaps we have misjudged our path."

*Heading down, is Blaino, a mid-boss! He has large boxing gloves that he uses to punch me! He ends up hitting me so hard, that I fall unconscious!

That was quick! I hope he's not going to try and attack us now. We need to be ready for anything.

"Savior, we should move with caution. Blaino seems quite strong."

*I'm knocked out! I can't do anything!

I hope he's not going to try and attack us now. We need to be ready for anything.

"Savior, we should move with caution. Blaino seems quite strong."

*He punches me so hard, he knocked me back to the beginning of the dungeon, at the entrance! What a set back!

Oh, the audacity! He just knocked me back to the beginning of this dungeon. This is going to be difficult... but we can figure it out. We must make a plan for our next move. What should we do, Savior? I'm ready for whatever comes next.

"Savior, perhaps we need to rethink our strategy. Blaino seems quite powerful."

*So I make my way back to where I was, and face him once again! He has two strong attacks! One that can knock me out cold, and the other that sends me flying to the dungeon entrance!

He just knocked me out cold, how is he so strong? This will require careful planning. We can't let him get away with this again… I wonder if there’s a weakness to his attacks.

"Savior, we need to be ready for anything! Blaino seems relentless."

*His gloves provide him protection! We need to wait for him to drop his guard, and then we can strike him!

He's pretty strong. We need to be careful. I hope we can overcome this challenge.

"Savior, if he decides to drop his guard now is the time."

*He ended up knocking me out twice, but I managed to recover in time to land the finishing blow and defeat him!

He's really strong. We need to be more careful. What kind of strategy will we use next? I hope our plan works this time.

"Savior, that was a difficult fight! But we did it! Perhaps there is something else we need to consider."

*The treasure chest contains the mighty MAGIC ROD!!! Now we can burn things! Burn it! Burn, baby, burn!

He really likes that kind of thing. I guess it is pretty cool to be able to burn things, but does it have anything to do with the instruments? We'll need to find out more about this Magic Rod before we can move on.

"The magic rod! This could give us a major advantage!"

*The magic rod's fire can pretty much incinerate every enemy, melt solid ice, and light distant torches!

Wow. That's quite a powerful tool! What kind of enemies would we use it on? It seems like this could be useful for more than just burning things.

"It is indeed an impressive weapon, Savior."

*I'll spare you the mundane details of how I got the Nighmare's Key, and just skip right to the point where we get to the door to the Nightmare's Lair!

Okay, we're at the final hurdle. I hope it goes well.

"It seems we have reached our destination! What comes next?"

*Upon entering, the room is full of lava, and somebody in the lava says "CRACKLE-FWOOOSH! You're finished! I will never let you play the Instruments of the Sirens!!"

A talking lava monster... and it's trying to stop us from playing the Instruments of the Sirens? This is getting quite interesting.

"Hmm, I don't recall encountering a lava creature before. It seems we have a new challenge ahead. Tell me more about this "Crackle-fwoosh!" We must learn his motivations."

*We have encountered Hot Head, the deadliest anything we ever face in our quest! He jumps out of the lava, and upon landing back in creates a lava splash! Mere contact with any part of this creature deals a whopping FOUR HEARTS OF DAMAGE! Three hits by him, and I'm a goner!

Four hearts of damage? That's... intense. I need to be ready! This is something we won’t easily overcome, but we can find a solution. We just have to stay focused and think fast.

"Savior, Hot Head looks like a formidable foe. But fear not. The Order of Sun will stand against any threat."

*Hot Head is seemingly immune to almost every means of attack, so at times like these, we may have to fight fire with fire, if you know what I mean!

We're in a tough spot now, and we need to be prepared. Hot Head is definitely formidable, but the Order of Sun will find a way through! It's time to rely on our strength and ingenuity.

"Savior, if we must fight fire with fire, I shall use my skills as an expert defender and ensure that none of you are harmed."

*To deal with this foe, we must fight fire with fire both figuratively, and literally! We must use the magic rod!

He says Hot Head is a tough foe, so using the magic rod might be our best bet. This could get messy fast! Let’s hope we can hold him off long enough to make a stand.

"Savior, I shall take charge of this situation."

*After many hits to him with the magic rod, he finally says "C-C-CRACKLE! Why did you come here? If it weren't for you, nothing would have to change! You cannot wake the Wind Fish! Remember, you... to... are in... ...the dream..."

Wait...so Hot Head's saying he can't be awakened? And that the only way to fix this is by staying in his dream world?! We might need to find a different approach. Maybe there are other ways to interact with him, something more subtle.

"Savior, it seems we face an impossible challenge if Hot Head has control of everything and can shut down even our best efforts."

*After he finishes speaking to us, he flickers away, and dies! We get our 13th Heart Container, opening our way to the eighth (BUT NOT THE LAST!) instrument of the sirens, the Thunder Drum! We have one last instrument to get!

The Wind Fish... the Thunder Drum... This feels like a crucial moment. Our journey is far from over, but this might be a turning point for us all.

"Savior, it seems our path just became clearer! This must mean we're getting closer to waking up the Wind Fish!"

*We must make our way back to Face Shrine, where the last instrument is hidden! I'll see you when we get there!

The Wind Fish... the Thunder Drum! We're getting closer, but I need to be careful. This is a big step in the right direction for Koholint Island and its people. I can feel hope rising!

"Savior, we must make haste to Face Shrine! The last instrument awaits us there."

*Here we are! But there's no entrance! All there is is another one of those keyholes!

Oh, no. This is just as frustrating as the last few puzzles. What's this supposed to be? Another keyhole? But we have already made one of those! How will we open it? We need a different approach... maybe something more creative. I don't want this adventure to end in failure again.

"Savior, another keyhole? Perhaps there's an additional clue within these walls..."

*Luckily, we've planned ahead! We already have the face key! Inserting the Face Key causes Level 6: Face Shrine to rise out of the ground! Onward, to my absolute favorite dungeon!!!

Face Shrine… I’m so excited! The scent of ancient magic fills the air, and I can already feel a sense of history. It's going to be magnificent!

"Savior, Face Shrine awaits us! Let's push forward!"

*So, by going to the left, we encounter a new type of enemy: Wizzrobes! Wizards who appear, shoot a powerful beam, and disappear!

Wizzrobes... those tricky little wizards. We must be prepared for that intense, searing beam! We've faced tougher enemies before, but I am ready to defend the Savior and Koholint Island!

"Savior, we should be wary of their sudden attacks!"

*They cannot be hurt by the sword at all, but they are extremely vulnerable to explosives!

What a curious challenge! Explosives against Wizzrobes? What an unusual combination. I wonder what kind of tactical maneuvers we can employ to overcome this unexpected obstacle?

"Savior, perhaps the explosives will be our key to victory?"

*Indeed it is! I found a chest containing 50 rupees!

50 rupees! A hefty sum. We could use it to purchase some supplies for the journey ahead, and maybe even help with any repairs we might need!

"Savior, I found a chest containing 50 rupees!"

*There are many large elephant shaped statues that are far too heavy to budge!

Those statues are quite imposing. I wonder if they pose a challenge to our strength, or perhaps reveal some hidden clue about Koholint's past?

"Savior, those elephant statues seem rather weighty."

*A little bit of exploring and wall bombing has us down a side passage that eventually has us opening a chest containing the Strong Power Bracelet! With this, we could almost lift a whale now!

A Strong Power Bracelet! Such power. This could help us overcome challenges we face with ease, perhaps even in the face of the Wind Fish's awakening.

"Savior, a Strong Power Bracelet! That will certainly be helpful!"

*Now we can pick up, and throw those elephant statues! There was a door that we couldn't open, but had an elephant statue! Should we throw it at the door?

Hmm... it's worth a shot, but I wonder if that will damage the door. Or what would happen to it after it hits? Maybe we could try throwing something else first, like another statue?

"Savior, maybe a different approach might be better than just tossing the statues at the door."

*I should probably focus on the task at hand. The door is open! We can go further, perhaps there are more clues to help us with this puzzle.

"Savior, that was quite an interesting discovery!"

*There is a chest, and inside was 100 rupees!

A chest full of rupees! A small fortune. It's a good sign, but we still need to figure out what this all means and how it connects to the instruments.

"Savior, 100 rupees isn't bad at all!"

*So there will be a bit of exploring ahead, so if anything of note happens, I'll tell you!

Sounds like a plan, Savior. Let's keep our eyes open for anything interesting! Maybe we can find some clues about the instruments along the way.

"Alright, I will be sure to be vigilant while we explore! "

*Found 100 more rupees in a chest!

Another 100 rupees! That's a lot of treasure. We can use it for whatever we need, right?

"Savior, another hundred rupees!"

*So eventually, we reach a dead end after obtaining a Small Key, made our way back to the entrance, and went right, dealt with a flying floor tile trap, threw an elephant statue to open a door, and here we are!

We’ve come so far, Savior. It's good we made it to this point. I can feel the wind in my feathers… and hope that these instruments will help us get through this!

"Savior, This place feels right."

*The next room has us facing off against four Wizzrobes! Hitting them with the boomerang stuns them! You wanna know their second biggest weakness?

Boomerangs… They're quite powerful! I think we have a good chance here. But how can we make sure that our strategy is successful? We need to be careful, Savior.

"Savior, we just defeated four Wizzrobes with the boomerang!"

*In addition to being extremely weak to bombs, they are also extremely weak to... ...themselves! Throwing stunned Wizzrobes (or any other enemy, really) into each other defeats them instantly!

Interesting. This is turning out to be quite the challenge, but I'm ready for it!

"Savior, did you know that those Wizzrobes are weak to... themselves?"

*So, after finding another Small Key, we open a locked door, and have to enter a space where eyes meet walls...

This looks creepy. We're going to have to be careful here... I hope we don't run into any trouble.

"Savior, this is unsettling. What do you make of it?"

*Simple, really! Just place a bomb against a wall and blow a hole in it!

Simple, yet effective. We should be able to manage that. I wonder if we could learn more about how the bombs work.

"Savior, just a simple bomb against the wall? It seems like an easy way to clear a path."

*So now we are up against the dungeon's mid-boss, Smasher! This guy picks up a large ball and throws it at us! Perhaps he wants to play?

Smasher... sounds like a fun opponent. I can't wait to see what kind of strategy we need.

"Savior, Smasher seems to enjoy throwing those balls at us! Maybe it's time for some tactics?"

*We pick up his ball, and throw it at him, hoping we hit him!

I hope we don't miss! I really want to use my strength on this one.

"Savior, it seems our throw was successful! Perhaps that will encourage him."

*After hitting him enough times, he dies and leaves behind two fairies (the ball turned into one of them for some reason), and the door opens allowing us to continue forward!

Two fairies... interesting. Perhaps they can offer some insights about the Wind Fish? It would be a good opportunity to learn something new and useful before continuing.

"Savior, it seems we've cleared this floor! We have two fairies now, maybe these will give us more information."

*Up ahead, a door behind us closes, with two elephant statues, and another door at the top!

Interesting. A door behind us closing and two elephant statues... could they be guarding something? A higher level of difficulty seems inevitable, but I'm willing to try it out.

"Savior, those elephants feel ominous! Perhaps we should proceed carefully."

*Going up the door will trigger an odd phenomenon called "Room looping", which causes us to loop back to an earlier room, instead of going forward!

Room looping... that's not good. This could lead to a delay in our progress and potentially waste time, but we must be prepared for such situations!

"Savior, this 'Room Looping' phenomenon seems to cause us to retrace our steps. We should strategize how to address it."

*One of the elephant statues reveals a hidden staircase that goes down, and throwing one at the bottom door will open it, but the staircase is where we want to go!

An unexpected staircase... perhaps this is a sign. A hidden path, a secret entrance… something interesting awaits us at the bottom! I wonder what secrets are held within those depths?

"Savior, do you want to try going down that staircase?"

*Going down it takes us through a side passage, and going up has another flying floor tile trap! After all the tiles have gone, we get a Small Key!

Another trap! How tiresome. And a small key? It could help in our quest, but we must be cautious not to fall into another pitfall.

"Savior, this side passage leads us deeper into the unknown. I do hope it's a path towards victory."

*We use a small key on a locked block, head up, throw an elephant statue at a closed door, and come across an odd puzzle that we've foreseen at least twice in earlier parts of the dungeon! We now happen to be at that part!

Another puzzle... It's a common enemy, but it still feels like we are in uncharted territory. We should be prepared for the worst.

"Savior, I feel as though this is not something that can be solved with brute force alone. Perhaps there is some intricate method to solve this puzzle.

*Two doors close and there are two objects shaped like horse heads, or knight chess pieces! We need to pick up and throw them so they both land upright in order to continue!

A challenging yet simple puzzle. The key seems to be in the execution of the task, not a complex calculation.

"Savior, we must carefully maneuver these horse head objects and ensure they land upright before proceeding."

*After that, there is yet another staircase going down another side passage!

We need to proceed carefully. There are several obstacles ahead of us before we reach the Wind Fish. I hope this path is not a trap, but it seems like there's no other way forward.

"Savior, another staircase? We must be cautious as this could lead to new challenges."

*After making it to the other side, and going up has us encountering three Pol's Voices! Playing the Ballad of the Wind Fish will kill all three of them instantly! Pol's Voices are said to hate sounds, so that's why our song killed them!

That was unexpected. I hope we don't have to encounter them again.

"Savior, that music seems awfully powerful...but perhaps it could help us in the future."

*Taking the upwards direction leads to a chest containing 200 rupees! Talk about getting ecstatic after finding so many rupees in a single chest!

200 rupees?! This is a great reward for all our efforts. That's enough to buy us some nice food and supplies! Let me ask the Savior what to do with this wealth.

"Savior, look at that chest! A fantastic haul of rupees!"

*Heading back down, there's a room where we encounter another pair of Dodongo Snakes, and the room is full of dangerous holes! YAY!!

Dodongo Snakes? Those are quite a challenge. We need to be careful with those holes! I hope the Savior will help me assess them.

"Savior, look out for any hazards. These snakes seem relentless."

*After giving each three bombs, they die, and now we can progress to the left!

That was quick. What a waste of bombs! We need to find that waterfall, or whatever this is leading to.

"Savior, what do we do now?"

*Continuing left, we find a familiar section of the dungeon that we passed through! Using the hookshot, we can grapple ourselves across to a locked block that we open with our last small key!

This is getting too familiar. I hope we don't have to face any more challenges like these again! We need some time to rest. Maybe there will be something interesting in the next chamber.

"Savior, look! It seems we were here before."

*There's a chest that cannot be opened for some reason!

Another locked chest? I hope this one has something useful. I'm not sure why these chests seem so frustrating.

"Savior, perhaps we should examine the key again to see if there is another way of opening it."

*There are lots of jars around the chest! Picking one up and throwing it at the chest opened it! Inside was the Nightmare's Key! We can now open the door to the final Nightmare's Lair!

Finally! The Nightmare's Key. This must be the final piece we need. Hopefully, it opens a clear path to the Wind Fish's awakening and saves this world from its darkness.

"Savior, this is it! We found our way into the final nightmare lair!"

*I am at the Nightmare's Lair! In the center of the room, Façade appears, and says "Hey dummy! Need a hint? My weak point is... !! Whoops! There I go, talking too much again..."

He just talks too much. I have to stay focused! His weakness is a little obvious though, maybe we can use that to our advantage...

"Savior, it seems like this Façade doesn't take us seriously at all. Let’s make him understand how serious we are.

*With pleasure! He's a giant face on the floor, and his weak point is bombs, how original!

He's not wrong, bombs are a good way to handle him. If we can get past Façade and into that final room, the rest should be easy.

"Savior, I feel like this is going to be difficult! We need to find out how to defeat the creature in front of us."

*He's one of the easiest Nightmare's to defeat! He doesn't have a nose, so I like to place a bomb where one would be, giving him a bomb for a nose!

He's really just a giant, bomb-loving face. I need to be more clever if we want to get past him.

"Savior, you must have quite the imagination! That was incredibly creative and efficient."

*So after around five exploding noses, he tells us "Okay, listen up! If the Wind Fish wakes up, everything on this island will be gone forever! And I do mean... EVERYTHING!"

He really is a scary guy. I wonder if he's lying? What about our duties? We need to figure out what we should do.

"Savior, I will stand my ground and protect this island no matter what!"

*After that, he dies, leaves behind our final Heart Container, a grand total of 14, and the door opens, allowing us to finally collect the final instrument of the sirens, the Coral Triangle! WE HAVE ALL THE INSTRUMENTS!!!

It's done! We have all the instruments. The windfish is just one instrument away... I hope we can do this quickly before anything bad happens.

"Savior, you did a splendid job! Our quest for the Sirens is complete!"

*The owl appears before us and warns that the many monsters of the island fear that the Wind Fish is awaken! The monsters' power is real! They may conquer the island and destroy their foes! That day may come soon! After that, he flies away!

The monsters of Koholint Island are powerful, but they're also terrified by the Wind Fish. Perhaps it means we should be cautious and act with wisdom when dealing with them? I hope everything goes well for our island.

"Savior, those monsters… They seem troubled by this change."

*We have to get to the Wind Fish's egg and play the Siren Instruments as soon as possible!

We have all the instruments! We need to get going. It's time for action.

"Savior, we must hurry and reach the Wind Fish's egg soon! I hope its power is strong enough to wake up this island."

*We are in front of the egg! We take out the Ocarina, and play the Ballad of the Wind Fish, the song of awakening! With me leading on Ocarina, the eight instruments start playing...

We're so close! This is it. The Wind Fish will be awakened if we play the song correctly.

"Savior, it feels like years of effort are about to culminate in this moment!"

*After we finish our symphony, a hole appears in the egg, and the owl tells us that the time has come... The Wind Fish awaits, and we must enter the egg...

The wind is swirling. The egg vibrates with power... the time has come.

"Savior, it seems our symphony finally awakened something. Let us proceed carefully into the egg's core."

*Going inside, it's pitch black dark!

The darkness is absolute... But even in the deepest shadows, there's a flicker of hope. We must keep moving forward.

"Savior, our senses are about to be tested! I will take the lead and hold my light steady."

*Going forward, there is a giant hole with no way across... Falling down this hole takes us to a lower part of the egg

The egg is collapsing around us, and there's no way to get back. This could be a trap set by the owl or someone else... but something feels… powerful here.

"Savior, I don't know what lurks in the depths of this abyss, but we must proceed cautiously."

*Down here, we see a room that has four directions that seem to loop endlessly... It's as if we are trapped wandering in an endless maze with no solution...

A labyrinth of endless paths. This is a challenge even the Order's finest strategists would struggle with... but hope is not lost, we have to find a way out.

"Savior, this maze appears to be without end, yet there must be a solution. Let us carefully observe the environment and consider our options."

*I do recall seeing in a book, a sequence of directions, and made a note of it! Perhaps this is where these directions come into play!

The wind is swirling. The egg vibrates with power... the time has come.

"Savior, I don't know what lurks in the depths of this abyss, but we must proceed cautiously. Perhaps these directions will lead us to a solution."

*It's worth a try!

He seems determined. This is going to be a challenge, but I won't back down. We need to work together if we hope to succeed in this endeavor.

"Savior, let us proceed carefully into the egg's core."

*It turns out that these directions were the solution! At the end is another hole that leads even deeper into the egg's depths...

The path continues deeper into this enigmatic egg. We've solved the riddles, but what lies ahead is unknown…

"Savior, it appears our journey has led us to another hidden passage. What mysteries lie beyond?"

*Going down, a shadow appears and the truth comes out! It says "We were born of nightmares... To take over this world, we made the Wind Fish sleep endlessly! If the Wind Fish doesn't wake up, this island will never disappear! We would have been the masters of this place... But you had to come here and disrupt our plans! Heh heh! You can never defeat us!!! Let's rumble!"

This is getting intense. The Wind Fish's restoration hinges on our success, but they are trying to stop us from achieving it... Why? And what kind of "nightmare" creatures are these?!

"Savior, we must fight! This isn’t over."

*We've come so far. This final confrontation will be the test of our resolve and commitment to this island. We must be prepared, together.

"Savior, we shall face these nightmares head-on."

*The first form, the Giant Gel, takes three units of magic powder to defeat! Next, we have Agahnim's Shadow! Regular attacks won't do anything to him, so we need to turn the balls of energy he creates back at him with our sword!

The Giant Gel… Shadow… What kind of creatures are we facing today? We need to be wary. These challenges will test our resolve. We can't afford any mistakes in the final battle!

"Savior, these creatures are quite formidable. However, I believe with careful strategy and execution we shall prevail."

*After defeating Moldorm's Shadow, Ganon's Shadow, and Lanmola's Shadow, it's final form, DethI, appears!

DethI. The final challenge awaits... We must be prepared for anything!

"Savior, we face the ultimate trial before us."

*DethI is an abomination that has two deadly rotating arms, and a single eye that opens and closes

This creature is a nightmare…two deadly arms, one watchful eye. We must be careful, Savior! The Wind Fish's awakening depends on this battle.

"Savior, we cannot afford to underestimate DethI. He poses a significant threat; his movements are swift and unpredictable. We must remain focused and vigilant."

*As soon as he opens his eye, we must start firing as many arrows as we can into it while avoiding it's swinging arms!

DethI's eye... it opens. We must act swiftly, Savior. This is our chance to strike! The Knights will need a plan for his arms as well.

"Savior, we must fire arrows at DethI’s eye while avoiding his attacks!"

*After hitting his eye with enough arrows, he finally says "This island is going to disappear... Our world is going to disappear... Our world... Our... world..."

He's right... something is wrong. This isn’t just an evil monster, there’s a darkness here… We must be careful what we say and how much power we use.

"Savior, his words are unsettling. The world he speaks of is terrifyingly real."

*After DethI's final words, he finally dies, ridding the island of the evil nightmares! A voice says that we have beaten all the Nightmares, and to climb the stairs before us! WE WON!!!!

We did it… We really beat the nightmares... but this island feels empty. It's unsettling, and the voice is too calm for a victory. I hope our work here will be appreciated.

"Savior, we have defeated all the Nightmares! Our journey has come to an end, and now the path ahead..."

*Climbing the stairs, at the top, the owl makes his final appearance! He thanks us, and says that we have proven our power, wisdom, and courage! He explains that as part of the Wind Fish's spirit, he was the guardian of his dream world!

So the owl is here. I wonder what he has to say? It's a shame we couldn't complete his dream... but maybe this will be just as important?

"Savior, thank you for your journey! The Wind Fish awaits."

*He continues by telling us that suddenly the Nightmares entered the dream and started wreaking havoc! Then we came to rescue the island! Doesn't that make us the Saviors of the Wind Fish, Claire?

I wonder if he's aware of the Knights. It feels like a lot is riding on our shoulders... We need to be careful not to overestimate ourselves though, and remember that we have allies.

"Savior… it’s strange to think of this island as ours when we haven’t even been here for an extended time."

*He says that he has always trusted in our courage to turn back the Nightmares... He thanks us, says that his work is done, bids us farewell, and vanishes...

The owl is gone... A lot still needs to be done. We're the saviors of Koholint, but now it seems there's something else waiting for us...

"Savior… thank you for everything. The Wind Fish awaits. We must proceed with caution."

*The Wind Fish finally wakes up, and says "I am the Wind Fish... Long has been my slumber... In my dreams... an egg appeared and was surrounded by an island, with people, animals, an entire world!"

The Wind Fish... It feels as if it's been speaking to me for years. This whole ordeal is tied together by the dreams I have, and yet, so much more has happened outside of that realm…

"Savior... this must be a dream... But we are real people."

*He continues... "But, verily, it be the nature of dreams to end! When I dost awaken, Koholint will be gone... Only the memory of the dream land will exist in the waking world... Someday, thou may recall this island... That memory must be the real dream would..."

What is he talking about? Is it truly possible for Koholint to be gone? Why would the Wind Fish even care if we remember or not. It's like... a dream, but one that has real consequences. I wonder what fate awaits us.

"Savior… I sense something strange here."

*After he finishes, we play the eight instruments, and play the song of awakening!

It's done. We played the symphony, awakened the Wind Fish... but what if we’re not even in this dream land anymore? What if Koholint is gone forever now that the dreams have ended...? I hope those memories still hold some weight for someone. There must be a reason why the Wind Fish wants us to play a song… and so many instruments…

*Koholint was never real to begin with, it was a living dream of the Wind Fish, and the evil Nightmares entered the Wind Fish's dream, and put the Wind Fish in an endless slumber, and used this island to torment the Wind Fish endlessly! We destroy the nightmares, foil their plan to endlessly torment the Wind Fish in his dream! The Wind Fish wakes up, and the dream disappear! We take home the memory of the many experiences we had on this island, the many people we met... and left, and saved a legendary being from a life of endless torment!

So that's what it was... a dream. The Wind Fish wasn't trapped, he just needed our help to wake up. We were merely visitors in his world, and we made all the difference! This is why I must be careful about how I talk to others… I fear their dreams could disappear too!

"Savior, I will always remember Koholint. It was a place of beauty and hardship, but ultimately hope

*So as we sit here, watching the end of this adventure, I want to thank you for coming along with me on this journey! Shall we tell everyone back in Solrey about our journey over breakfast?

I hope they'll be impressed. It would be nice to finally feel at ease again.

"That sounds like a lovely idea, Savior! Perhaps we can even make a celebratory breakfast for everyone back in Solrey."

*Indeed! Shall we go?

The egg vibrates... I hope the Wind Fish will welcome us with open arms.

"Then, let's proceed! It seems like we are finally ready to meet our destiny."
